Thanks a Melon!

As you know from an earlier post, my daughter  was selected as a State Finalist in the National American Miss Utah Jr. Pre-Teen Pageant.   There is a $450.00 sponsor fee which we are raising money for.  We've already had people want to sponsor her.  I decided to make some Thank You's for them.   This card is       4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  The patterned mat is 4 x 5 1/4 and came from Pebbles Inc.  I used the Just Because cartridge for the watermelon and the mats.  The watermelon was cut at 3 1/2 inches for the rind, black, and red layers.  The red mat was cut out at 3 inches, and the white mat was cut out at 2 3/4.  The sentiment came from the Cardz TV Stamp set "Garden Greetings."

Here's my baby girl.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you are having a wonderful day!   I hope to hear from you!

Cardz TV Design Team Challenge #8 "Color Me a Rainbow" Day Two

Here's my card for day two of the Cardz TV Design Team Challenge #8 "Color Me a Rainbow".   This card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  The patterned paper is from a 6 x 6 Recollections stack from Michael.  For the sentiment I used the Cardz TV Stamp set "Good Friends."  The shoes were cut from the Forever Young cartridge and were cut at 1 3/4 inches for both layers.  The mats they are on were cut from Elegant Edges.  The white one was cut at 2 1/2, and the pink mat was cut using the shadow feature at 2 1/2 as well.  I used a Sizzix embossing folder.  The two bling flowers came from my stash.  I used my favorite EK Success corner punch for the corners.

Don't forget to enter the Cardz TV Challenge.  All you have to do is create a card or other project using pink, yellow, green, and blue colors.  You can use small amounts of black and white.  Then go to Mary's blog and enter your project into Mr. Linky.  You have until Midnight EST Sunday April 22nd.  She will be using random.org to pick a winner and will announce the lucky winner on Monday April 23rd.  She is giving away a set of Cardz TV Stamps. "Color Me A Rainbow" Cardz TV Challenge Day One

Welcome to the "Color Me A Rainbow" Cardz TV Challenge!  Mary over at Cardz TV gave our Design Team a Challenge to make a card or other project for any occasion using colors from the rainbow, using pink, blue, green, and yellow ONLY.  We can use small amounts of black and white.

So for my card I chose to make a Shadow Box card or a Diorama.  These are really simple to make.  These end up being 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  Depending on how you embellish these, they will fit in an A2 size envelope.  For the sentiment I used the Cardz TV stamp set "Think Spring."  For the flourishes I used an EK Success punch and added tiny roses from Michaels.  For the grass I used a grass border punch from Fiskars.  I punched the the butterflies with a mini punch that I've had for years.  The polka dot paper came from a Recollections pack at Michaels.

Now it's your turn to take the Challenge!  Just make a card or other project using pink, blue, green and yellow only you  can use small amounts of black and white.  Then go to Mary's blog and add your name and project in Mr. Linky.  You have until Midnight E.S.T Sunday April 22nd.  Mary will be using random.org to pick a winner.  She will be giving away a set of Cardz TV stamps, WINNER'S CHOICE!  She will announce the winner on Monday, April 23rd.   Easy peasy!  Can't wait to see what you create!  I invite you to check out the rest of our Design Team's awesome and inspiring projects.   I will be posting another card on Saturday.  Hope you will come back.  Thanks for stopping by, I would really love to hear from you!

Center Step Card

Hello my friends!  Sorry I've been MIA for a while.  The Queen has had to take some personal time to take care of a few things.  I just finished this card today.  I believe it's called a Center Step Card.  I'm trying to find the video for it but I can't remember exact name of the card. I will try to find it and add it to the post.  The paper came from a paper pack I found at Bennion Crafts which opened on the 2nd of April.  It takes less than 5 minutes to get there!  Boy am I in trouble!   The sentiments came from the  Cardz TV stamp set "Think Spring."  The pearls are from Michaels.  The flowers in the middle are from a K & Company pack that I found on clearance this morning at Michaels.  I ran the green cardstock through the Cuttlebug using the Birds & Swirls folder.

On another bit of news, my 9 year old daughter was sent a letter by the National American Miss Pageant for an open call.  Last Friday we went to the meeting.  We were asked to bring a photo of her.  We filled out an application, then listened to the information about the pageant.  My daughter was interviewed.  They told everyone that they would go through the applications and we should hear back from them in about 3-5 days by phone if our child is selected.  If not, we would receive a letter stating why they weren't selected at this time.  Last night, the phone rang and I looked at the caller ID and hesitated because I wasn't sure if it was a solicitor.  I picked up the phone and it was the Pageant!  They told me they selected my daughter to compete in the National American  Miss Utah Pageant!!!!  If she places in the top 10, she will be able to go to Nationals in California!  We are so excited!

Thanks for stopping by, I would love to hear from you!

Treat Bags

I've been working on these little treat bags today.  Each one is made from an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper and folded.  The sentiments came from the Cardz TV stamp set "Easter Punnies."  The chicks and bunny are from my stash.  I love these fuzzy little guys.  The ribbon is from Michaels.  I can't believe how fast Easter has arrived!  It seems just like yesterday we were celebrating Christmas.  Unbelievable how fast this year is going.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I would really love to hear from you.

EGGS-tra Special Easter

Here's a quick little Easter card I made using the Bloom Lite cartridge.  This card is a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  I cut the fence out a 2 inches and the other layers.  The little basket and eggs were punched out with a Martha Stewart punch.  The fuzzy little bunny is from my stash.  The sentiment is from the  Cardz TV stamp set "Easter Punnies."  The little butterflies were punched using a mini punch.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I would really love to hear from you!

Eh, What's Up Doc?

The other day I was in one of our local grocery stores, and I came across these cute little carrot sacks.  They came 12 to a package.  They were for a really great price.  So just down from where they were hanging, they had Starburst Jelly Beans and M & M's.  Mary over at Cardz TV had made these only her bags were clear, so when I saw these I knew I had to make some!

I used the Cardz TV Stamp set "Easter Punnies."  I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I punched them out using 2 different McGill punches.  I found the cute little basket at Michaels for half off.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I would really love to hear from you.

Lots of Hugs,
