Love

Hello my crafty friends!  I just wanted to share some "love."  My friends Annette and Maria inspired me to try a card like this.  Click here to see Maria's cute card.  Thanks Annette and Maria!

I used Stampin' Up's Hexagon punch to cut out different pieces of papers.  The papers are from two different Recollections 6 x 6 paper pads from last year.  The hearts were cut using Stampin' Up's Heart Collection Framelits, the "love" was cut out using Stampin' Up's Expressions Framelits, which sadly by the way aren't available anymore.  The heart in the center was stamped with a Stampin' Up stamp.

I want to try a few more cards like these using the Hexagon punch.  What do you think?  I "love" how it turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to hear from you!  Have a great day!

I {heart} U!

Hello my crafty friends!  Here's a card I made today for Valentine's Day.  The papers I used are from a Doodlebug 6 x 6 paper pad called Sweetheart.  The sentiment inside the heart is from an older Stampin' Up set.  The I {heart} U! is from the Cardz TV Stamps set called "Hugs and Kisses."

For the heart I used the Hearts a Flutter framelit set from Stampin' Up.   I used a 2 1/2 inch circle punch for the mat and dashed and dotted with a white gel pen.  The smaller sentiment was punched with the word window punch and the modern label punch.  I used some heart bling from my stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope to hear from you.  Have a crafty day!

My Heartfelt Thanks

Hello my crafty friends!  I wanted to share a Thank You card I made for someone.  My friend shared with me the instructions for this card and I knew I had to make it.  I just can't resist a folded card!  I love how it turned out and I really want to make for an upcoming birthday.

If you would like to make one for yourself, CLICK HERE.  For the sentiments I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "Heartfelt Wishes."  The flowers inside the box were stamped using the Morning Meadow Hostess set from Stampin' Up.   I used a Sizzix Sizzlit  for the branch with leaves.  The smaller flowers on the outside were punched and stamped with a new punch and stamp set from Stampin' Up called Petite Petals.  I just love this set!  It has six different flowers.  For the flourish I used an EK Success punch I've had for a few years.  The butterfly is from a Stampin' Up punch.

So what do you think of my take on this card?  Thanks so much for stopping by!  I'd love to hear from you.

Lots of Hugs,

Happy New Year!

Hello my crafty friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful New Year's celebration.  Here at the castle we had a wonderful get together.  Way to much food but a great time was had by all.  I decided to make these little treat holders that resemble a Chinese takeout box.  Inside is a fortune cookie that everyone could open at midnight.

I didn't embellish them too much since they will be thrown away.  To make the box I used the Petal Cone Die from Stampin' Up which is on the clearance rack on Stampin' Up's website.    For the sentiment I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "Going In Circles."  This is a great set that can be used for many different holidays.  The martini glass is a punch that I had bought a few years ago on clearance from Michaels made by EK Success.  I thought it would work for New Year's.

What do you think?  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to hear from you!  Have a great weekend and stay safe, especially those of you on the East Coast.

Lots of Hugs,
Laura
