Hello my crafty friends!  For my first card Click Here  I hope you've been working on your card, project, or layout for the Cardz TV Stamps Color Challenge.  Here is my 2nd project.  I used the "Greater Love" set.  I just love this set.  It has beautiful verses, and I love the font.  This card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  I ran the strips through the Cuttlebug using a Sizzix folder.  The flourishes were punched from an EK Success punch.  I used two different small heart punches for the corners.  For the mats, I used a Spellbinder die.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Here in Utah, we are getting dumped on by snow.  By the way, don't forget I am having a giveaway.  I am giving away a set of Spellbinder dies called Big Scalloped Ovals SM.  All you have to do to enter my giveaway is Click Here and comment on my first card for the challenge, and be a follower of The Queens Card Castle.  I will announce the winner on Thursday, February 7th.  Thanks for stopping by and I would really love to hear from you!

Valentine Frog and Blog Candy Giveaway

Hello my crafty friends!  For the CTVS Baby New Year Challenge click here.  I wanted to share a card I made for a friend of mine for Valentine's Day.  I've had the idea for this card in my mind for a while and today I made it!

For the sentiment I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "Toad-ally Awesome."  This is a fun set.  It even has a cute little face of a frog.   I just knew I had to make a frog with a crown using this sentiment!  The frog was cut from the Create A Critter 2 cartridge, and was cut at 2 inches as well as the crown, heart, and lilly pad.  The lips were cut using the Don Juan cartridge and cut at 1/4 inch.  The light pink mat was cut using a Spellbinder die and I used the Hugs and Kisses Cuttlebug folder to emboss it.   The card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  I used some Valentine's paper from a Recollections pack.  And of course I added some bling.

Now for the giveaway!  I was at Joann's last week and found some Spellbinder's dies on clearance for $2.97!  I picked up a few for myself and some to give away as blog candy.  Mary gave me a shout out on one of her videos on this great find.  Yes I guess I'm an enabler.  LOL  So here's one that I am giving away.  All I ask you do to be eligible is comment on this card, and please be a follower of my blog.  Easy peasy right?  I have to tell you, I love each and every one of my followers!  I will announce the winner on Tuesday, January 22, 2013.  I will be having more giveaways.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enter my giveaway!

Lots of Hugs,

Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge # 22 "Baby New Year!"

Hello my crafty friends,  it's Friday so that means today starts another Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge.  Mary over at Cardz TV gave us a challenge to create a card, layout, or other project for a new baby.  Recently I posted some projects I had made for my niece's baby shower that was last weekend.  (Please scroll down if you missed them)  Her theme was zebra.  So I made this card for her when she has the baby, which could be very soon.

This is a double-dutch card fold.  It will fit in an A2 size envelope.  The sentiments are from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Ticket Talk 2."  The zebra is from the Create a Critter cartridge and was cut at 3 1/4 inches.  The pink paper for the base is from Bo Bunny, the zebra print paper is from Michaels, and the paper on the front is from a DCWV stack.  I used my favorite corner punch for the outside and inside.  I used a 1 1/4 scallop punch for the squares on the front.  The stickers are from my stash.

Now it's your turn!  I hope you join us for this fun challenge!  All you have to do is create a card, layout, or other project for a new baby.  You have until Thursday, January 24th.  Once you've completed your project, head on over to Mary's blog and enter your project.  She will be choosing a winner and giving away a set of her wonderful stamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would REALLY love to hear from you!

Baby Shower

Hello my crafty friends!  I know I haven't posted in a while and I apologize.  I feel like I've been running since the day after Thanksgiving!  Christmas was wonderful.  Two days after Christmas was my niece's birthday, then it was New Year's, and yesterday my sister-in-law and I had a baby shower for the same niece.  Whew!  I made these little favor bags to hand out.  The theme for the shower was zebra.  We found zebra cake plates, zebra napkins, zebra balloons, and zebra streamers.  The cake was zebra as well.  (Scroll down for a picture of the cake)

We found the zebra bags at Michaels.  The sentiment on the bag is from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Heartfelt Wishes."  I used a 2 inch scallop punch from EK Success, and a 1 3/4 scallop punch from Stampin' Up!  For the tin favor, I used a stamp I had found at Michaels.  The rattles came from Wilton.  I filled them with some pacifier candy.  Inside the little tin are some pearl Sixlets.  I made 20 of these bags, and 30 tins.

I made her a diaper cake, Onesies cupcakes, and washcloth bon bons.   I even made a baby shower word scramble with 25 words, and made tortilla roll-ups.  Now you can see why I have been so busy.  We had so much fun!  She received so many cute things.  I found some clothes with the zebra stripes with pink.  So cute!  I can't wait until baby Bella arrives!

I hope everyone's year has started out well.  By the way, this Friday starts another Cardz TV Design Team Challenge.  I can't wait!  Thanks so much for stopping by and I would really love to hear from you!

Lots of Hugs,
Laura
