Wish You Were Here!

Hello my crafty friends!  If you are looking for my CTVS "Luck of the Irish" challenge card, CLICK HERE  I hope you had a wonderful weekend where you are.  Around the Castle Saturday we had 8 1/2 inches of snow!  I am so ready for Spring!  We are expecting another snow storm tonight.  A friend of mine recently sent my daughter a gift so I decided to make a card to send to her.  I've wanted to try this kind of card for a while.   So here it is.

It's supposed to look like tile.  I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "Simply Said."  I don't usually make cards with just stamping so it was different for me.  I used a Stampin' Up! stamp set for the roses and smaller flowers.  I used the Scalloped Scallop border punch from EK Success.  The sentiment mats were punched using two different McGill punches.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would really love to hear from you!  Hope you are having a wonderful day.

Lots of Hugs,

"Luck of the Irish" Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge #25

Hello my crafty friends!  It's Friday, and you know that means, another Cardz TV Stamps Challenge!  Mary over at Cardz TV gave our Design Team a challenge to create a card, layout, or other craft project using stamped, digital, or electronic cut shamrocks or leprechauns.  For my sentiments I used two Cardz TV Stamps sets, "It's All About You" and "Happy Days."  I used EK Success and McGill punches for them.

A friend of mine recently sent me a card like this so I had to try it.  (Thanks for sending it "T")  I'm not sure of the name of it.  The paper came from Hobby Lobby.  For the green and white mats, I used the Spellbinders Labels Eight set.  I used the Elmo and Friends Holiday cartridge.  He was cut at 2 3/4 inches for all of the layers.  I used a Martha Stewart punch for the shamrocks on the sides and added buttons in the center.

Now it's your turn to take the challenge!  All you have to do is create a card, layout or other craft project using stamped, digital, or electronic cut shamrocks or leprechauns.  Then head on over to Mary's blog and enter your project.  You have from Friday, February 22nd through noon March 7th.  Mary will be giving away a set of her awesome stamps to the winner.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I would feel really "lucky" to hear from you.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Lots of Hugs,

Thank You So Much!

Hello my crafty friends!  I wanted to share a card that I made for a very dear friend of mine.  I recently purchased a box of pre-folded cards from Bennion Crafts. (local craft store)  They are from a DCWV box that come pre-folded, and have a coordinating color on the back.  They also come with envelopes.  For the sentiment I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "Heartfelt Wishes."  This set has a lot of beautiful sentiments to use for many types of cards to let someone you are thinking of them.

I had recently purchased a Spellbinders set called Folliage.  I punched some out and embossed them with the Script Cuttlebug folder.  I took a small paper doily and sponged it with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distressed ink.  I used an EK Success corner punch and added some pearls.  For the sentiment mats I used the Spellbinders set Labels Four set.  Well I hope you like this card.  I would really love to hear from you.  I'm off to make some sympathy cards because my mom's aunt died yesterday.  I will share when I am through.

Lots of Hugs,

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day my crafty friends!  If you are looking for my Cardz TV Challenge #23 CLICK HERE.  I hope you've been having a wonderful Valentine's Day!  It's been a busy time around the castle this week.  My Princess's birthday was two days ago, had her party on Sunday, and Valentine's Day today.  So I just wanted to share some Valentine's treats that I made for my little Princess.  I made 28 for her class.  Inside there are mini Air Head candies.  The sentiment came from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Be My Valentine."  I used Stampin' Up!'s full heart punch for the heart, and the word window punch, and the Crop-O-dile to punch holes for the ribbon.  I didn't use a lot of decorations because they will probably end up in the garbage.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would really L-O-V-E hearing from you!

Lots of Hugs,

CTVS Challenge #24 "Kidz Kardz"

Hello my crafty friends!  It's Friday and it's time for another Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge.  Mary over at Cardz TV gave our Design Team a challenge to make a set of (3) 3 x 3 "Kidz Kardz."  For mine, I used three different Cardz TV Stamps, "Be My Valentine," "Hugs and Kisses," and "Critter Captions."

The card base resembles a double-gate fold card but a smaller version.  The zebra paper came from a Recollections pack.  I used my Nestabilities heart set for the white heart.  The red heart was punched using the Stampin' Up! full heart punch.  The smaller heart punches are from my vast collection.  The little cupid was punched using a Studio G mini punch.  For the frog card, I cut the frog from the Create A Critter 2 cartridge at 3 1/4 inches.  I ran it through the Cuttlebug using the Polka Dots folder.  I used a heart punch for it's heart.  The paper is from my stash.  And lastly the little pig.  She came from the Create A Critter cartridge and was cut at 3 inches.  The paper is from a K & Company stack.  I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the X O X O's.  For the white panels, I used the "Hugs and Kisses" Cuttlebug folder.

Now it's your turn!  All you have to do is create (3) 3 x 3 "Kidz Kardz" for Valentine's Day.  Once you've completed your set, head on over to Mary's Blog  and enter your projects.  You have until noon EST Thursday, February 21st.  The winner will receive a set of Mary's awesome stamps!  I hope you take the challenge with us.  I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would really LOVE to hear from you!  If you are new to my blog, I hope you become a follower.  I hope you have a great weekend!

Valentine's Mobile

Happy Super Bowl Sunday!  Sadly my team is not in the Super Bowl today, but I will be watching the game and the commercials.  My son will be watching and praying his team can win.  If you would like to enter my Spellbinders giveaway and see my Cardz TV Challenge project Click Here Anyway, I thought I would share a mobile my little Princess created this weekend.  Her birthday is two days before Valentine's Day so we like to decorate for it.  I had purchased some Spellbinders scalloped hearts so she wanted to use these for her mobile.  We used two different Cardz TV Stamps sets, "Be My Valentine" and "Hugs and Kisses."  The little owls are felt and are from our stash.  The white hearts were punched using the Full Heart punch from Stampin' UP!.  We punched holes using the Crop-a-Dile and tied it with yarn.

As a reminder, you have until noon Thursday to enter for a chance to win a Spellbinder set from me.  All you have to do is: 1. Be a follower of The Queens Card Castle.  2.  Leave me a comment on This post.  I will be announcing the winner on Thursday afternoon.
