O Holy Night

Hello my crafty friends!  I hope your Monday is going well.  I just wanted to share a card I made last week. It is a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card.  I had purchased the December 25th cartridge a few weeks ago and really wanted to cut this image.  I cut it out at 3 1/4 inches for both layers.  The sentiment is from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Classic Christmas."  The mat behind it I cut out from Elegant Edges and cut at 3 1/2 inches for both the mat and the shadow.  For the mat behind those, I used the Kassie's Brocade Cuttlebug folder.  I used some Recollections fine glitter on the star.  The flat back pearls came from Recollections

                              .
I hope you've had a chance to enter into the "To Die For!" Challenge over at Cardz TV.  Have a great day and I would really love to hear from you!

Lots of Hugs,

"My Guy" Cardz TV Challenge # 10

Welcome to the "My Guy" Cardz TV Challenge #10!  Our wonderful DT leader Mary over at Cardz TV gave us a Challenge to create a card, gift, or project for a masculine birthday, or Father's Day.  For this post I chose to make a card for my daughter to give to her father.  For this card I used the Cardz TV Stamp set "Father's Day."  This is a wonderful set.

I'm not sure what this style of card is called.  I used Bazzill cardstock and cut it at 5 1/2 x9 3/4 and scored it at 1 1/8, and 5 1/2.  I found the double sided patterned paper at a local craft store called Bennion Crafts.  It's by Moxxie.   I used A Child's Year for the silhouette.  I cut it out at 2 1/2 as well as the shadow.  It can be found on page 40.  I love the little pony tail.  I used Elegant Edges and cut the oblong piece at 3 1/4, as well as the shadow.  I used mini-buttons from my stash in the corners.   I used a 3/4, 7/8, and 1 inch circle punches for the D A D on the outer flap.  On the 3/4 circle punched pieces I stamped the letters using a Studio G alphabet set with Rich Cocoa Memento ink.  I used Paris Dusk Memento ink for the front and inside sentiments.   On the inside, I used my favorite EK Success corner punch.  I used a half circle of Velcro to close the card.  And of course I put a picture of my sweet girl on the inside.

Now, it's your turn!  All you have to do is create a card, gift, or project for a masculine birthday, or Father's Day.  Then, go to Mary's Blog and enter your project with your name and a link to your blog into Mr. Linky.  Easy peasy!  You have until Midnight EST, Sunday June 10th.  Mary will be using random.org to pick a winner.  She is giving away a set of Cardz TV Stamps, WINNER'S CHOICE!!!!  She will announce the winner on Monday June 11, 2012.   I hope you come join us!  I hope you stop by my other DT sister's blogs and check out their awesome projects.

I'm going to have a second post on Saturday for the Challenge.  I hope you stop back.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I would really love to hear from you!

Lots of Hugs,

Cardz TV Design Team Challenge #8 "Color Me a Rainbow" Day Two

Here's my card for day two of the Cardz TV Design Team Challenge #8 "Color Me a Rainbow".   This card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  The patterned paper is from a 6 x 6 Recollections stack from Michael.  For the sentiment I used the Cardz TV Stamp set "Good Friends."  The shoes were cut from the Forever Young cartridge and were cut at 1 3/4 inches for both layers.  The mats they are on were cut from Elegant Edges.  The white one was cut at 2 1/2, and the pink mat was cut using the shadow feature at 2 1/2 as well.  I used a Sizzix embossing folder.  The two bling flowers came from my stash.  I used my favorite EK Success corner punch for the corners.

Don't forget to enter the Cardz TV Challenge.  All you have to do is create a card or other project using pink, yellow, green, and blue colors.  You can use small amounts of black and white.  Then go to Mary's blog and enter your project into Mr. Linky.  You have until Midnight EST Sunday April 22nd.  She will be using random.org to pick a winner and will announce the lucky winner on Monday April 23rd.  She is giving away a set of Cardz TV Stamps.
