"You're The Man!" CTVS Blog Hop

I'm so glad you could join us for the second day of the Cardz TV Stamps "You're the Man" Blog Hop!  If you came here from Elaine's blog, you're headed in the right direction.  For our Hop we've been using the new set called "You're the Man"  This set is great for Father's Day or masculine birthdays.

My dad makes awesome steaks on the grill.  He adds just the right seasonings and has it timed perfect for the way I like my steaks.  I can just taste them now!  Delish!  When I was little he had a mustache.  I first made the card without the mustache, then my daughter told me he needed a mustache.  So I took a picture with and without one.  My card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  The striped paper is from American Crafts and was cut at 4 x 5 1/4.  I used the Stampin' Up! ticket punch on the corners.  The bear and the chef's hat is from the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge and was cut at 3 inches.  The apron and grill are from the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge.  The apron and the grill were cut at 3 1/2 inches.  I had to cut the apron down just a little bit.  The spatula can be found in the From My Kitchen cartridge and was cut at 1 1/2 inches.  I used two Stampin' Up! tag punches for the sentiment.  For the flames inside the grill, I used my Fiskars grass punch using orange cardstock and sponged them with red Memento ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and enjoy the Hop!  I'd love to hear from you.  Next up on the line up is my wonderful friend Jo.  Don't forget Mary is giving away 2 sets of Cardz TV Stamps to one lucky winner!  Just leave her a comment to be entered.  She will be using random.org to choose the winner.  She will announce the winner on Monday. (MY B-Day!!!!) Below is the line-up for day two of the Hop in case you lose your way because you don't want to miss a single project!

Die Cuttin' Diva's Guest Designer

Hello my crafty friends!  For my "Cute As A Button!" CTVS challenge CLICK HERE  Today I am a Guest Designer for Die Cuttin' Divas!  I was so excited when Georgiana asked me to be a Guest Diva.  Thanks Georgiana!  This week's challenge is flowers.  The weather here in Utah has been crazy.  I really want it to be springtime.  Tomorrow's high is only supposed to be around 50.  With that said,  I decided to make a double pocket type card with spring in mind.  The patterned paper is by Lori Whitlock from Echo Park.  The flower vase and flowers were cut from the Kate's ABC's cartridge at 3 1/2 inches.  The sentiments are from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Spring Time!"  I used a Cuttlebug folder for the front card.  For the flourishes on the outside on either side of the "My wonderful friend" sentiment, I used an EK Success punch.

Be sure to head over to Die Cuttin' Divas to check out the other fabulous projects by the Design Team.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would really love to hear from you.  If you are new to my blog, I hope you become a follower.  Have a great day!

"Cute As A Button!" CTVS Challenge #28 Project # 2

Hello my crafty friends!  If you are looking for my first "Cute As A Button!" project CLICK HERE  My SIL is currently in the hospital because she had to have her heart operated on this last Wednesday.  We have all been praying for her. She is out of the SICU and in a regular room.  Great news!  I decided to make a card for her.  I'm not sure what kind of card this is.  I've had these directions for a while but hadn't used them.

The "I'm praying for you" and "Wishing you a speedy recovery!" sentiments are from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Heartfelt Wishes."  The "God bless you!" sentiment is from the "Encouraging Thoughts."  The papers are from a 6 x 6 paper stack from American Crafts called My Girl.  I used a 3 inch scallop punch for the large scallop, a 2 1/4 circle punch for the patterned paper, and a 2 inch scallop punch for the sentiment mat.  I used my favorite EK Success corner punch on the outside.   For the white mat on the inside flap, I used a Sizzix folder.  On the inner flap, I used an EK Success punch called Chines Knots.  I used a flower punch from my stash to make the flower and a button from my stash.

I hope you've started a project to enter into our challenge!  Hope you are having a great weekend where you are.  Thanks for stopping by and I would really love to hear from you!

Lots of Hugs,

Think Spring!

Hello my crafty friends!  If you are looking for my "Mix It Up!" CTVS DT Challenge CLICK HERE.  Here around the castle we had snow today!  Luckily it melted off the grass.  Today's weather reminded me to post this because I really wish the weather was more Spring-like.  Anyway, here it is.  I used Creative Cards to cut the card base.  It was cut at 5 1/4 as well as the leaves.  I ran the leaves through the Cuttlebug using the Script folder.  I used a flower from my stash and added some bling in the middle.  For the sentiment, I used the Cardz TV Stamps "Think Spring."  I used the Modern Label punch from Stampin' Up, then cut a mat.  Super easy and super quick.

Thanks for stopping by, and I would really love to hear from you!

CTVS DT Challenge "Mix It Up!"

Hello my crafty friends!  It's Friday so that means another Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge!  Whoo Hooo!  Mary over at Cardz TV gave us a challenge to create a card, layout, or other craft project using three different patterned papers.  So here's my creation using the Cardz TV Stamps set "Heartfelt Wishes."

This card measures 4 1/2 x 4 1/2.  The ivory mat is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4.  The dark purple patterned mat is 4 x 4.  The lighter purple patterned mat is 3 3/4 x 3 3/4.  The embossed ivory mat is 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 and I used the Swiss Dots folder.  The flowered mat with white flowers was cut at 2 1/2 x 2 1/2.  I used a 1 1/4 square punch for the purple paper with leaves.  The darker triangles were punched using the 1 1/4 punch, then cut in  half.  I used two different Stampin' Up! punches for the sentiment.  And on the inside I used my favorite EK Success corner punch.

Now it's your turn to join in on the fun!  All you have to do is create a card, layout, or other craft project using 3 different patterned papers.  Once you've created it, head over to Mary's blog and enter your project.  Mary will be giving away a set of her awesome Cardz TV Stamps.  You have until Noon EST April 18th.  I can't wait to see what you create!
