Cardz TV Go-to Galz Challenge #37 "Breast Cancer Awareness"
Hello my crafty friends! It's Friday so it's time for another Cardz TV Go-to Galz Challenge. For our challenge we were to make a card, layout, or other craft project for Breast Cancer Awareness month. For my card and little box I used several Cardz TV Stamps sets. The "Bless your heart," and "You're not alone" are from the Encouraging Thoughts set. "You go girl" is from the "All About You" set. The "Hang in there!" and "Just for you!" are from the "Simply Said" set. The "You are in my prayers" is from the "Heartfelt Wishes" set.
The card is a variation of a Tri-Fold card. The patterned flower paper is from Michaels, and the polka dot paper is from a 6 x 6 DCWV stack. One one of my trips to Joann's I found the Tic-Tacs so I made a little box for them. The ribbon punch is from my stash. I used Stampin Up punches for the word mats. (postage stamp, Artisan label punch, Decorative Label punch, Word Window punch, Modern Label Punch, Full Heart punch, and the Mosaic punch)
I hope you join us for the challenge! All you have to do is make a card, layout, or other craft project for Breast Cancer Awareness. Post your project on Mary's blog by noon EST October 17th. She will be giving away a set of her stamps to the winner! I hope you stop by the other ladies on the DT for more awesome inspiration.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would really love to hear from you! Hope you have a wonderful and crafty weekend!
Lots of Hugs,

Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge 15 "Bling It Up!" Day Two
Welcome back to day 2 of the Cardz TV Design Team Challenge #15 "Bling It Up!" I hope you've had a chance to check out the other talented ladies on the Design Team. For my second project, my Mom had asked me to make a card for a co-worker who sadly has breast cancer. Next month she is going to have a Mastectomy, possibly double. I pray she doesn't have to.
This card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. For the sentiment, I used the Cardz TV Stamps "Encouraging Thoughts." The pink ribbon bling came from Michaels. They had a small section with breast cancer awareness items. The other bling came from Recollections. The patterned paper is from a Recollections stack. The corner punch is from EK Success, and for the border I used a Stampin' Up! border punch. For the ivory sentiment tag, I used a McGill punch, and for the black tag I used a EK Success punch.
I hope you've had a chance to start a card, layout or other craft project to enter the Challenge! Remember, you have until Midnight Thursday, September 27th to enter a picture and a link to your blog. Mary is giving away a set of Cardz TV Stamps to the winner!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I really hope to hear from you! Have an awesome weekend!
Lots of Hugs,

Thinking Of You
http://youtu.be/HuxO_mTIlPk Click here for a clip of the segment.
A local news broadcaster here in Utah was doing a health segment about Breast Cancer Awareness. She went into have a mammogram done in the segment. The results came back and sadly it was malignant. She went in last month for a lumpectomy and removal of two lymph nodes. The good news is that it hasn't spread. She will have to undergo chemotherapy and radiation. I have watched her for years on the news and she is a very strong woman. When I saw this segment yesterday I cried. So I had to make this for her and I'm going to send it to the news station. This segment saved her life. This serves as a reminder to all of us women to get checked. A few minutes of discomfort can save your life. My prayers are with her and her family and all those women who are currently fighting this terrible cancer, and anyone who is currently fighting any form of cancer. Stay strong! Have faith in God.
Lots Of Hugs,
Laura
