Cardz TV Mailbox Smiles DT Challenge

Hello my crafty friends!  It's Friday and time for another Cardz TV Mailbox Smiles DT Challenge.  My how time flies!  Middle of June already!?!?

My friend gave me another conversion challenge as well.  She found this card style but it was in centimeters and asked me to convert the measurements she wrote down with her sketch of it.  It's a bit tall.  I don't know what to call this fold.  My son's friends' grandmother passed away so I decided to make this card for his parents.

For the sentiments, I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "Heartfelt Wishes."  This set is great for sympathy cards, Get Well Soon cards, and even Thank You cards.  I used framelits, DSP and punches from Stampin' Up!  I forgot to take a picture of the envelope I made with my Envelope Punch Board.

What do you think?  Are you ready to take the challenge?  I hope so!  Simply create anything!  You don't even need to use Cardz TV stamps.  Mary will be giving away a set of her fabulous stamps to the winner!  You have until noon, EST, June 29, 2017.  I can't wait to see what you create!

Thank you so much for stopping by, and I would really love to hear from you!  I hope you have a great weekend!

Cardz TV Mailbox Smiles DT Challenge

Hello my crafty friends!  Friday is here and time for another Cardz TV Mailbox Smiles DT Challenge. The projects were submitted for the last challenge were fabulous!

For this week's challenge I made another birthday card.  I needed another birthday card so this is what I came up with.  My wonderful friend had shared the dimensions of this card with me.  The only problem was it was in centimeters.  She asked me if I would help her figure it out.  So I did.  (I'm not sure what the fold is called)

For the sentiments, I used the "Just Chillin" stamp set and the "Mixed Messages" set.  Both great sets. The DSP is from Stampin' Up! I used framelit dies and punches from Stampin' Up! as well.

Do you think they will like it?  Do you like it?  I sure hope so.  Are you ready to take the challenge?  It's easy peasy.  Just create anything!  You have until noon EST, Thursday, June 15,2017 to enter.  I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would really love to hear from you!  Have a great weekend!

Cardz TV 3D DT Challenge "3D Thanksgiving Card"

Hello my crafty friends!  It's Friday, and today starts another challenge over at Cardz TV.  Our challenge is to create a 3D card for Thanksgiving.  With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, I need to make more Thanksgiving cards!  One down, several to go.  Lol.

For my sentiments I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "Thankful For You."  This set has a fun variety of stamps for Thanksgiving.  The papers are from a 6 x 6 Doodlebug stack.  The teddy bear/turkey is from the Teddy Bear Parade.  The bear and it's layers were cut at 3 1/4 inches.  For the sign, I used the Handpicked Framelits from Stampin' Up.  I punched the leaves using an old punch from my ever growing stash.

Now it's your turn to join our challenge! Simply create a 3D Thanksgiving card.  Place it on Mary's Blog.  You have until noon EST Thursday November 26th (Thanksgiving) to enter.  Mary will be giving away a set of her awesome stamps to the winner!

I know this Thanksgiving will be really hard for me since it's the first one without my dad with us.     (He passed away in January.)  I will miss him saying Grace.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would really love to hear from you!  I hope you have a safe and wonderful weekend!

Cardz TV 3D Challenge #1 Fall Card

Hello my crafty friends!  I'm happy to say we have started another term on the Cardz TV 3-D Design Team!   I'm so glad to be back!  Our challenge was to create a 3-D card for Fall.  Around the Castle, it has definitely turned cold for a bit.  The mountains have definitely started changing colors, and we even had some snow on the tops of some mountains that are visible from my kitchen window.  By Monday we're supposed to be back to the low 80's.

For  my card I used the Cardz TV Stamps set called "Fall Fun."  This is a fun set filled with fun sentiments that are perfect for Fall cards.  For my card base I used a Fold-a-long thinlit from Sizzix .  It comes together pretty quickly.  The paper is from a set from Stampin' Up! called Farmers Market.

Now it's your turn!    Just create a 3-D card for Fall, enter your project on Mary's Blog.  You have until Noon EST Thursday October 1, 2015.  Mary will be giving away a set of her fabulous stamps!  I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you all have a safe, crafty, and wonderful weekend!

Hey Cupcake!

Hello my crafty friends!  I hope you are staying cool.  Here around the Castle it's been in the100's.  I know I haven't posted in a while and I apologize.  Since my dad passed away in January I haven't been myself.  A day at a time right?  I hope to get back into my old groove.

I needed some small little Thank You cards.  I had made this type of insert fold years ago but never this small.  I used the new Cardz TV Stamps set "Sweet Sayings" for the "Hey Cupcake!" and "You're so SWEET!"  This set has a lot of fun "sweet" sayings! For the "Thank you," I used the"Heartfelt Wishes" without the "so much." For the fun little cupcake, I used the "Sprinkles of Life" stamp set from Stampin' Up!.  To punch out the top of the cupcake I used the Tree Builder punch from Stampin' Up!  The papers are from Stampin' Up! as well.

Well, I hope you have a safe Fourth of July weekend!  Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would really love to hear from you!

Lots of Hugs,
Laura

Cardz TV 3D DT Blog Hop "Anything Goes"

Hello my crafty friends!  Welcome to the Cardz TV 3D DT Blog Hop!  If you came here from Deanna's Blog, you are headed in the right direction.  This is our last challenge for this term.  My daughter just finished the 6th grade yesterday and will be heading to Junior High in the fall.  Gasp!  At the beginning of the school year I try to take a picture of her with her new teacher.  And I always make a card and a special gift for her teacher at the end of the year.

For the card, I used the Cardz TV Stamps "School Days.  I heat embossed the stamp on chalk board paper.   The papers are from Doodlebug.  I used the Stampin' Up! Berry Basket for the basket filled with Ferrero Rocher candies.  For the treat holders I used the WRMK Envelope Punch Board to make the treat holders.  She passed them out to her class yesterday.  I had to make 28.  The papers are also from Doodlebug.

Okay, now for the blog candy!

For my blog candy I am giving away a We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board.  There are more things to make with this little tool than just envelopes.  I've made different treat holders with it.  To be entered into my drawing, please be a follower of my blog, and leave me a comment.  You have until midnight MST Sunday May 24th.  I will announce the winner on Monday, May 25th.

The next stop on the hop is my talented friend Rhonda.  In case you get lost along the way, below is our line up.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would really love to hear from you!  Have a great weekend!

Cardz TV Stamps DT Challenge #8

Hello my crafty friends! Today starts a new challenge over at Cardz TV.  Our challenge is to create a 3D card for Mother's day.

For my card I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "Happy Mother's Day."  I made this card to give to my Aunt who has been like a mother to me.  The paper is from Stampin' Up!  I used the Butterfly Thinlits die from Stampin' Up!, the Bitty Butterfly punch, and the flower from the Itty Bitty Accents punch set.  As for the fold, I'm not sure what this is called.  A friend showed me how to make it, but I'm not sure where it came from to give them credit.  I guess it could be called a Tri-Panel card?

Are you ready to take the challenge?  I hope so!  Just create a 3D Mother's Day card.  Add your creation to Mary's Blog.  You have until noon EST May 14, 2015.  Mary is giving away a set of her fabulous stamps to the winner!   I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would REALLY love to hear what you think of this project.  I hope you have a safe and wonderful weekend!

"Fun Fold" Cardz TV 3-D Challenge #2

It's Friday, and time for another Cardz TV 3-D Challenge!  Our challenge was to make a 3-D card for Halloween.  I love to make Tri-Shutter cards. This one is a little different because it has a bigger panel to write on.

For the "Flying by with a WITCHY hi!" I used the "Oct. 31st" Cardz TV Stamps set.  For the "BOOtiful!" and "YIKES" I used the "More Spooky Sayings" set. The "No tricks, Just Treats!" and "Happy OWL-oween!" came from the "Frankly Frightful" set.  These are all AWESOME sets for Halloween!  The papers, witch, cat, spider, owl, pumpkin, and little Franky are from Doodlebug.  The ghost was cut using the Fun Fall framelit set from Stampin' Up!

Now it's your turn!  Just create a 3-D card for Halloween (Box card, Easel, Stair Step, Side Step or Tri-Shutter etc)  You have until noon EST Thursday October 30th to enter.  Mary will be giving the winner a set of her awesome stamps.  I hope you stop by the blogs of my wonderful DT sisters.  You won't be disappointed!

Have your CAKE and eat it too!

Hello my crafty friends!  I hope you are having a good Labor Day.  In August and September we have a lot of Birthdays.  I need to get on the ball and make cards for the September birthdays.  So I wanted to share a birthday card I made using a Sizzix Circle Card Flip Die.  These are really fun and super easy to assemble.  The patterned papers I used are from Doodlebug.  The "Have your CAKE and eat it too!" sentiment is from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Good Times."  I used an old balloon punch that I've had for a very long time on the inside.  Like I said, super quick and super easy.

I'm so glad you stopped by, and I would really love to hear from you!  Have a great day!

Lots of Hugs,

Happy Blooming Birthday

Hello my crafty friends!  I know it's been a while since I've posted.  You know how summer takes over and you get to do non-crafty things.  Anyway, I just wanted to quickly post a birthday card I made recently.  It's called a Dutch Fold card.  I've made them before and saw someone's and decided to make another one.  Here's an old TUTORIAL from Splitcoast Stampers if you would like to make one.  The flowers are from the Flower Patch Stampin' Up! stamp set as well as the Happy Blooming Birthday.  I used the Flower Fair Framelits to cut them out.  The inside stamp is from the Amazing Birthday stamp set from Stampin' Up!

We have lots of back to school shopping to get done.  My daughter has had a growth spurt.  School starts in two weeks.  I can't believe it.  I hope to be posting more when school starts up again.  Lol  Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Lots of Hugs,
Laura
