Party Hardy!

Hello my crafty friends!  I know I've been MIA for a while.  It's been crazy!  Sorry.  I hope to get in more crafty time.  I wanted to share a card I made for a dear friend who is visiting from Germany.  She is an amazing, giving, and caring friend.  Her birthday was yesterday and I made her this card.

The papers are from a 6 x 6 Doodlebug stack called Sugar Shoppe.  It has lots of fun papers for birthdays.  I used the Owl Builder punch from Stampin' Up.  The owl is on an action wobble.   I used the Cupcake Builder punch from Stampin' Up.  The stamps are from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Good Times."  This set has lots of great birthday sayings.  If you would like to make a card like this, here is a tutorial a friend and I found.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  I would love to hear from you.

My Wonderful Friend

Hello my crafty friends!  I just wanted to share a quick card I made for a wonderful friend.  I don't know what to call this type of card.  I used the Stampin' Up Scallop Tag Topper Punch for a closure.   I have used this fun punch for so many different things,  I love it!

The sentiments I used are from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Heartfelt Wishes."  This is a wonderful set filled with sayings you could use for many types of cards.  I used paper from a paper stack from Stampin' Up called Fresh Prints .  For the banner I used the Banner Framelit set from Stampin' Up.

What do you think?  I hope to hear from you.  Have a great weekend!

Lots of Hugs,

Class Treats

Happy Valentine's Day my crafty friends!  I wanted to share my daughter's treats she took to school this morning.  I helped her take in her things for the party they are having to day, and the first words out of her teacher's mouth were "I can't wait to see what you've made this time!"  The teacher and her friends always look forward to our treat holders.  Lol.  There are 16 girls in her class, and only 6 boys.

For the flowers and leaves I used the Blossom punch from Stampin' Up.  I stamped the "Happy Valentine's Day" using the Cardz TV Stamps set "Going In Circles."  I love this set!  It has all of the different holidays.  For the "Be Mine" I used "Hugs and Kisses."  I punched the circle sentiment out with a 1 1/8 circle punch.  I used the small heart punch from Stampin' Up for the center of the flower.

For the boys treats, I used the new Scallop Tag punch from Stampin' Up.  I really love that punch.  If you missed my tutorial on a treat holder I created, here is the LINK.  For the hearts I used the small heart punch from Stampin' Up, and the larger heart is from an EK Success punch.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope your day is filled with love.   I hope to hear from you.

Lots of Hugs,

Love

Hello my crafty friends!  I just wanted to share some "love."  My friends Annette and Maria inspired me to try a card like this.  Click here to see Maria's cute card.  Thanks Annette and Maria!

I used Stampin' Up's Hexagon punch to cut out different pieces of papers.  The papers are from two different Recollections 6 x 6 paper pads from last year.  The hearts were cut using Stampin' Up's Heart Collection Framelits, the "love" was cut out using Stampin' Up's Expressions Framelits, which sadly by the way aren't available anymore.  The heart in the center was stamped with a Stampin' Up stamp.

I want to try a few more cards like these using the Hexagon punch.  What do you think?  I "love" how it turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to hear from you!  Have a great day!

Lots of Hugs,

My Heartfelt Thanks

Hello my crafty friends!  I wanted to share a Thank You card I made for someone.  My friend shared with me the instructions for this card and I knew I had to make it.  I just can't resist a folded card!  I love how it turned out and I really want to make for an upcoming birthday.

If you would like to make one for yourself, CLICK HERE.  For the sentiments I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "Heartfelt Wishes."  The flowers inside the box were stamped using the Morning Meadow Hostess set from Stampin' Up.   I used a Sizzix Sizzlit  for the branch with leaves.  The smaller flowers on the outside were punched and stamped with a new punch and stamp set from Stampin' Up called Petite Petals.  I just love this set!  It has six different flowers.  For the flourish I used an EK Success punch I've had for a few years.  The butterfly is from a Stampin' Up punch.

So what do you think of my take on this card?  Thanks so much for stopping by!  I'd love to hear from you.

Lots of Hugs,

Trim The Tree!

Hello my crafty friends!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I have been having so much fun with my Cardz TV stamps and Stampin' Up stamps and punches.  And of course my trusty We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board.  I just love making file folder cards with it.

I used Cherry Cobbler Core'dinations card stock for the base.  The paper is from Stampin' Up.  The "Trim the tree!" sentiment is from the Cardz TV Stamps "Very Merry."  The ornament stamp, ornament punch, sentiment inside, and the 2 3/8 scallop circle punch, and the Merry (framelit) are from Stampin' Up.  (Thanks to my bestie Annette!)

It's unbelievable how fast the time is going!  My daughter informs me that I need to wrap more presents for under the tree.  So much to do so little time so I better get back to work.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I would love to hear from you!

Lots of Hugs,

And His Name Shall Be Called Wonderful Counsellor

Hello my crafty friends!  I wanted to share a file folder card I made a couple of weeks ago.  I need more time in the day lately.  Any way, I used one of my favorite tools, the WRMK punch board.  The stamp on the front is from Stampin' Up.  It's one of their single stamps.  As soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it.  The sentiment inside is from a Stampin' Up set called Christmas Messages.  I used the Deco Labels Collection framelit set from Stampin' Up.  The ornaments were punched using the Mosaic punch from Stampin' Up.  The corners were punched using an EK Success corner punch.  The branches were punched using a Martha Stewart punch.

I hope you are having a good weekend.  Here around the Castle it's been snowing all day.  I need to find the off switch!  Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would really love to hear from you!

Lots of Hugs,

CTVS DT Challenge "Mix It Up!"

Hello my crafty friends!  It's Friday so that means another Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge!  Whoo Hooo!  Mary over at Cardz TV gave us a challenge to create a card, layout, or other craft project using three different patterned papers.  So here's my creation using the Cardz TV Stamps set "Heartfelt Wishes."

This card measures 4 1/2 x 4 1/2.  The ivory mat is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4.  The dark purple patterned mat is 4 x 4.  The lighter purple patterned mat is 3 3/4 x 3 3/4.  The embossed ivory mat is 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 and I used the Swiss Dots folder.  The flowered mat with white flowers was cut at 2 1/2 x 2 1/2.  I used a 1 1/4 square punch for the purple paper with leaves.  The darker triangles were punched using the 1 1/4 punch, then cut in  half.  I used two different Stampin' Up! punches for the sentiment.  And on the inside I used my favorite EK Success corner punch.

Now it's your turn to join in on the fun!  All you have to do is create a card, layout, or other craft project using 3 different patterned papers.  Once you've created it, head over to Mary's blog and enter your project.  Mary will be giving away a set of her awesome Cardz TV Stamps.  You have until Noon EST April 18th.  I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I would really love to hear from you!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day my crafty friends!  If you are looking for my Cardz TV Challenge #23 CLICK HERE.  I hope you've been having a wonderful Valentine's Day!  It's been a busy time around the castle this week.  My Princess's birthday was two days ago, had her party on Sunday, and Valentine's Day today.  So I just wanted to share some Valentine's treats that I made for my little Princess.  I made 28 for her class.  Inside there are mini Air Head candies.  The sentiment came from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Be My Valentine."  I used Stampin' Up!'s full heart punch for the heart, and the word window punch, and the Crop-O-dile to punch holes for the ribbon.  I didn't use a lot of decorations because they will probably end up in the garbage.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would really L-O-V-E hearing from you!

Lots of Hugs,

Gingerbread Men Card

Hello my crafty friends!  I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.  Here around my castle, the wind is really blowing.  I hope you've had a chance to enter the Cardz TV Stamps Challenge "To Die For!"

For today's card, I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "Tiny Tidings."  This is a cute set that Mary has that has sentiments from a set she had last year but they are smaller, and there are a couple of new ones added in.  The card base came from a boxed card set I found at Bennion Crafts (a local store) that comes pre-folded.  The are made by Pebbles.  There are 10 different card bases and envelopes.  They have really cute patterns and have the envelopes included.  For the red mat, I used the EK Success punch Scalloped Scallop.  For the patterned paper I used a Recollections 6 x 6 mat stack that has some adorable papers in it. It is called Sugar Plums.   I used a 1 1/4 inch EK Success square scallop punch.  The other day I was at Joann's and found this cute Fiskars gingerbread punch.  I debated on getting it since I have several cartridges with gingerbread man cuts, but I knew if I didn't get it then it would be gone later.  I used a Peachy Keen stamp set for their faces, and some bling from my stash.

I hope you enter our Challenge!  You have until Noon EST Thursday December 6th.  Mary will be giving away a set of her stamps to the winner!  I will be posting again tomorrow so I hope you stop back to check it out.

Lots of Hugs,
Laura

Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge 15 "Bling It Up!" Day Two

Welcome back to day 2 of the Cardz TV Design Team Challenge #15 "Bling It Up!"  I hope you've had a chance to check out the other talented ladies on the Design Team.  For my second project, my Mom had asked me to make a card for a co-worker who sadly has breast cancer.  Next month she is going to have a Mastectomy, possibly double.  I pray she doesn't have to.

This card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  For the sentiment, I used the Cardz TV Stamps "Encouraging Thoughts."  The pink ribbon bling came from Michaels.  They had a small section with breast cancer awareness items.  The other bling came from Recollections.  The patterned paper is from a Recollections stack.  The corner punch is from EK Success, and for the border I used a Stampin' Up! border punch.  For the ivory sentiment tag, I used a McGill punch, and for the black tag I used a EK Success punch.

I hope you've had a chance to start a card, layout or other craft project to enter the Challenge!  Remember, you have until Midnight Thursday, September 27th to enter a picture and a link to your blog.  Mary is giving away a set of Cardz TV Stamps to the winner!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I really hope to hear from you!  Have an awesome weekend!

The flowers came from a K & Co. set I found at Michaels.  For the sentiment mats, I used Stampin' Up!, EK Success, and McGill punches.

I hope to have a tutorial up for this soon.  I hope you've been working on your card, layout or other project for the Challenge.  You have until August 2nd to enter your project into Mr. Linky on Mary's blog.  She will be announcing the winner on Friday August 3rd.  The winner will receive a set of her awesome stamps, winner's choice!
