I'm So Glad

Hello my crafty friends!  With the storms we've had the last few days my internet has been giving me fits!  I hope the issues have resolved and I can get this post finally out.  Just as I was typing this it's telling me an error occurred while trying to save.  Grrrr.  I'll make this post short and sweet.  Anyway, this is my Father's Day card I made for my Dad.  The stamps are from the "Father's Day" and "Going in Circles" Cardz TV Stamps sets.  The L-O-V-E   Y-O-U was stamped using a Recollections alphabet set.

This card was made for a friend of mine to give to her Dad for Father's Day.  The stamps are from Stampin' Up.

I will close now and hopefully publish this post.  Like I said I have tried many times to write this post.  Internet can be so infuriating sometimes.  Well, I hope you have a wonderful day!  I would love to hear from you.

Lots of Hugs,
Laura

"Father's Day" Cardz TV Design Team Challenge

Happy Friday my crafty friends!  Today starts another challenge over at Cardz TV.  Mary gave us a challenge to create a card, layout, or other project for Father's Day.  I used the Cardz TV Stamps "Father's Day" stamp set.

You know me, I love to make treat holders.  I used a sheet of DCWV patterned paper that was cut at
8 1/2 x 8 1/2.  I folded it in half tip to tip.  Then with the opening on top, you fold down one tip and crease to where you want it.  Then flip it back up.  Then take one of the side points and fold over to be flush to the crease line.  Repeat on the other side.  Then you fold down the flap again to cover the folded over sides. Then I rounded the pouch out with my fingers by pulling and rounding as you go.  On the bottom I pushed it up with my finger along the bottom.  Then it should be able to stand up on it's own.  I then measured the top flap.  I cut the brown piece in a 4 x 4 square and then cut it in half.  The white cardstock was cut at 3 x 3 inches and cut in half.  I used a 3 inch scallop punch for the patterned paper.  The green patterned paper was punched using a 2 1/2 circle punch.  The brown scallop was punched using a 2 inch punch.  The white circle with the sentiment was punched using a 1 3/4 punch.  I added buttons from my stash.  And of course, added Rolos and almond Hershey Kisses.

Now it's your turn to create a card, layout, or other craft project for Father's Day.  You have until June 13th, 2013 to enter.  Once you've finished, head on over to Cardz TV and enter your project.  Mary will use random.org to pick the winner.  She will  be giving away a set of her fabulous stamps.  I can't wait to see what you create!

Also, SCOOTINGRANNY please e-mail (queenpunki at aol dot com) me your address so I can send you your blog candy that you won.  If I don't hear from you by Monday I will be choosing another winner.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I would really love to hear from you!  Have a great weekend!

Father's Day Card

I know Father's Day was yesterday but I wanted to share the card I gave my Dad.  I have had this recipe in my book for a long time but never made it, so I decided to give it a try.   I was in a rush and forgot to take pictures of it with a nice background, so here it is on plain white.   The stamps are from Cardz TV.  I used the "Father's Day" set.  I put the slider on a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base.  He really loved it.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I  would really love to hear from you!

"My Guy" Cardz TV Cardz TV Challenge #10 Day 2

Welcome back to day 2 of the "My Guy" Cardz TV Challenge!  For my day 1 project, please scroll down to yesterdays post.  My daughter wants to give her father a tin sort of like the one's I gave for Mother's Day.  Well the one's I had found for those had flowers on them.  I knew those wouldn't do.  At Bennion's Crafts (a local craft store) I found these metal tins.  I used the same double sided paper to decorate it and for the Hershey Nuggets.  I put some brown ribbon around the lid.  For the sentiments, I used the Cardz TV  Stamps set "Father's Day."  For the blue ribbon I used the Stampin' Up! scallop circle punch and the 1 1/4 circle punch.  I just cut some strips of matching paper and notched the ends with a corner punch.  For the sentiments I used Paris Dusk Memento ink.

The Challenge over at Cardz TV is still going on through tomorrow night.  I hope you are up for this challenge and enter.  You have until Midnight EST to make a card or other project for Father's Day or a masculine Birthday card.  Easy peasy right?  Then head on over to Cardz TV and add a photo of your project into Mr. Linky with a link to your blog.  Mary will be using random.org to pick a winner.  She will announce the winner on Monday June 11th.  She is giving away a set of Cardz TV stamps, WINNER'S CHOICE!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would really love to hear from you!

Lots of Hugs,
