www.thescrapbookingqueen.com blog, you're going in the right direction. This is my card for the Blog Hop. I used the "From Our House To Your House" stamp from the Holly Jolly stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps.
cardztvstamps.blogspot.com Please stop by and check out her AWESOME stamps. I really love them! For the card base I cut a piece of cardstock at 5 1/2 x 12 and scored it at 4 and 8 inches. I used the Holly Jolly Cricut Lite Cartridge for the houses. I cut them at 3 3/4 inches and all of the layers. For the little trees I used a Martha Stewart Christmas tree punch and trimmed them down.
