Cardz TV Anything Goes DT Challenge

Hello my crafty friends!  It's Friday and time for another Cardz TV Anything Goes DT Challenge.  Time is just rolling along so fast and I have a ton of Valentine's Day projects to complete.  And this is one of them.  I have orders for a ton of Valentine's Day treat holders.  One down.  Lol.  Before I know it, I will be working on Easter ones.

For my project I used the Cardz TV Stamps sets "Be My Valentine," "Sugar Rush," and "Let's Party."  Great sayings on all three of these sets.  Papers are from Stampin' Up! as well as the heart punch.  And let's not forget the yummy Raffaello treats inside.

Are you ready to take the challenge?  Simply create anything!  It could be a treat holder, a card or even a scrapbook page layout.  It could be anything.  Then add your project on Mary's Blog.  You have until noon EST Thursday February 16.  I can't wait to see what you create!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I would really love to hear from you!

Cardz TV Anything Goes DT Challenge

We're baaaaack!  It's Friday and time for another Cardz TV Anything Goes Design Team Challenge!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and 2017 has started out great for you all!  It just seems like yesterday we were playing with Christmas papers.  Now it's time to focus on Valentine's Day.  Lots of reds and pinks.

I'm not even sure what to call this box.  A friend of mine had found the dimensions for this box on Pinterest.  She asked me to help her because the dimensions for the boxes didn't quite work, so I made an adjustment.  So here is my version.  The sentiment on the front "You make life so SWEET!" is from the Cardz TV Stamps  set "Sugar Rush."  This set has so many yummy sentiments that are perfect for cards and treat holders.  The "Happy Valentine's Day" sentiment is from the "Be My Valentine" set.  The papers are from Stampin' Up!, and I used framelits and punches from Stampin' Up!.  And let's not forget about the yummy treats inside!

Ready to take the challenge?  Just create ANYTHING.  Don't forget to add your project to Mary's blog.  You have until noon Thursday, February 2, 2017.  She's giving away a set of her fabulous stamps sets.   I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I would really love to hear from you!  Have a great weekend!

Cardz TV Challenge #2 3D Valentine Treat Box or Bag

Hello my crafty friends!  Happy Friday and welcome to the Cardz TV 3D DT challenge.  Our challenge was to create a 3D Valentine treat box or bag.  I made these for Christmas for some nurses where my dad was receiving chemotherapy.  A friend had requested some of these for Valentine's Day.

I played around with the dimensions and came up with this box to hold Oreos.  I used the "Hugs and Kisses Cardz TV Stamps.  The red Oreos are the winter ones, and the pinkish ones are berry flavored. The cookie and candy paper is from Doodlebug, and the chevron paper is from the Stampin' Up Stacked with Love paper stack.  I used the Stampin' Up  Heart framelit set to make the window in the center, the mini heart punch from the Itty Bitty Punch pack set from Stampin' Up, and the Bow Builder punch from Stampin' Up for the bow.

Now it's your turn!  Just create a treat box or bag for Valentine's Day.  You have until February 19th to enter our challenge.  I can't wait to see what you create!

On a personal note, I haven't been posting on my blog for quite some time.  My dad passed away last month and life just got turned upside down for a while.  So much to do.  I'm sorry I haven't commented on some of your blogs for quite a while.  I hope to get back into some sort of routine soon.  Please be patient with me.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I would really love to hear from you!  Have a great weekend!

Lots of Hugs,

As a reminder, you have until noon Thursday to enter for a chance to win a Spellbinder set from me.  All you have to do is: 1. Be a follower of The Queens Card Castle.  2.  Leave me a comment on This post.  I will be announcing the winner on Thursday afternoon.

"I Ruff You!"

I wanted to post another card for Valentine's Day.  The sentiment is from the "Barks and Bones" set from Cardz TV Stamps.

I cut the dog from the Every Day Paper Dolls cartridge at 3 1/2 inches.  I used a gel pen to make the collar, and used a Studio G mini punch for the heart.  The papers with cupcakes on them came from a Recollection pack from Michaels.  The heart paper came from a K & Company stack.  The cupcakes on the bottom came from JoAnn's.  I punched the corners using an EK Success punch.  For the inside sentiment I used a stamp from my ever-growing collection.  The hearts were punched using a Studio G mini punch.  I hope you like it!  I would love to hear what you think.  Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you are having a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Lots of Hugs,
Laura

Happy Valentine's Day!

I wanted to wish all my craft loving friends a Happy Valentine's Day!  I wanted to share with everyone some treats I made for my daughter's class.  We made 33 of these.  The sentiment is from a Cardz TV Stamps set called "Be My Valentine."  I love this set!

The papers are from K & Company, and a Recollections pack from Michaels.  I used the Stampin' Up! full heart punch.  I didn't put embellishments on them because I know the kids are just going to throw them away.  Inside are Hershey's Kisses.  Yummy!!!!  Who doesn't love chocolate right?
                                        Recipe

I cut the paper at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  I scored it at 1 1/2 inches, 3 inches, 4 1/2 inches.  I used a Herma removable glue runner on the bottom to hold the kisses in place.  I used to handy dandy ATG gun to put adhesive on the backs of the hearts with the sentiments.  Easy peasy!  On the back we used a punch to cut out cardstock and wrote they were from her.  Thanks so much for taking time to come by.  I would love to hear from you!  Hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!  Mwah!

Lots of Hugs,
Laura

Cardz TV Design Team Challenge #5 "Tickled Pink"

Welcome to the Cardz TV Design Team Challenge #5 "Tickled Pink"!  Mary over at Cardz TV gave us a Challenge.  When I found out what the challenge was, I was "tickled pink"!  Who doesn't love pink?  For this card I used two stamp sets from Cardz TV Stamps.  The "You Make My Heart Sing" is from the Hugs and Kisses stamp set, and the "Happy Valentine's Day" stamp is from the Be My Valentine stamp set.  I just love the font used for the "Happy Valentine's Day" stamp.  Please stop by and take a look at them, they are wonderful!

This card is a Double Z Fold Card.  The pink paper used for the card is Bazzill cardstock.  The patterned paper came from a K & Company paper pad.  The bird was cut from the Create A Critter cartridge.  I cut the bird and all it's layers at 1 3/4.  This can be found on page 65.  The heart also came from the Create A Critter cartridge and was cut at 3 3/4 inches.  It can be found on page 64.  I ran it through the Cuttlebug using the Textile folder.  On the two inner panels, I used the Allegro Cuttlebug folder.  For the music notes on the front, I used mini Studio G punches.  For the corners on the inner panel, I used an EK Success punch.

Now, it's your turn to take the challenge!  Just create a card, scrapbook page or other project using pink as your primary color, go to Cardz TV and add your project to Mr. Linky.  You have until 12:01 A.M. E.ST. on Sunday February 12th.  She will use Random.org to pick a winner.  Mary is giving away a set of Cardz TV Stamps!  Good luck!  Also, check out my Design Team Sister's blogs to see their awesome projects.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog.  Please let me know you stopped by and leave me a comment, I would love to hear from you.  I hope you all have a safe and fun weekend!

Box Top Fold Card

I'm not sure of the real name of this type of fold so I named mine a Box Top Fold.  It reminds me of how you fold the top of a box when you store things in it and need to get in it a lot.  Anyway, here it is.  The idea came from Stampin' Up.

The hearts are from a Stampin' Up punch.  For the sentiments, I used two different stamp sets from Cardz TV Stamps.  The Love Me is from the Barks and Bones set, and the Kiss Me is from the Hugs and Kisses set.  I just love Mary's stamps!  I used a new Martha Stewart border punch for the bottom.

Thanks for stopping by.  I would love to hear from you.  Have a great day!

Lots of Hugs,
Laura

Valentine Lollipop Holders

I was working on these last night.  It's raining and there are lots of clouds outside so the lighting is not very good for these photos so I apologize.   My daughter's birthday is next month on the 12th.  We always have a family party so I want to make one for all of the girls and ladies at the party.  They are really simple to make.  It's a good thing too because I have a lot to make!  I used George and Basic Shapes to cut the flowers.  I cut them out at 2 3/4 inches.  You need two of them for 1 lollipop.  I cut out one of the petals to make the center.  I glued the two end petals together with hot glue.  Next I snipped off the end and stuck the lollipop in.  You will probably need to play with it to get it to fit and twist it to fit up to the bottom of the lolli.  For the second I cut a hole in the middle.  I used hot glue to glue the center flower to the second flower.  I put half of a small styrofoam ball in the bottom and added shredded paper that I found at Walmart for $1.00.  The papers for the two flowers on the ends are from this year's K & Company Valentine Stack, the white one in the middle's paper came from a Recollections pack for this year.  The ribbon came from Michaels as well as the little dimensional stickers on the pots. Hope you all are having a good weekend.  Where I am at it has been raining and raining and raining.  I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment.  Thanks for stopping by.

Lots Of Hugs,
Laura

Valentine Gum Holders

Here are some Valentine gum holders I have been working on.  My daughter asked me last night after seeing how they turned out to make them for her friends in her class.  I said "we" can do that.  I saw this idea on the internet but there were no dimensions given.  So I decided to come up with my own recipe.  I used Freedent gum and left the white paper wraps on them.  I added little punched out cardstock from Studio G mini punches I bought at Walmart for .97 each.  The paper I used on the one on the far right came from a cute paper pack from Recollections I found at Michaels.  I hand wrote the Be Mine on the one on the left.  For the others I used stamps from my stash.  I used a scallop punch and a heart punch.  And of course I went around the edges with a white gel pen.  These are super quick to make.  The colored card stock base was cut at
1 1/4 in. x 4 in. Thanks for stopping by, and I would love to hear from you!

Lots Of Hugs,
Laura
