"To Die For!" Cardz TV Stamps Challenge #20

Happy Friday my crafty friends and welcome to the "To Die For!" Cardz TV Stamps Challenge #20!  Our wonderful Mary over at cardztv.blogspot.com gave us a challenge to create a card, layout, or other craft project using die cuts from a manual machine or our Cricut.  I recently had purchased the A Quilted Christmas cartridge and had to try it out.  I found this cute image on there and knew Mary's stamps would be perfect for it.  Mary has a new set of Christmas stamps in the Cardz TV Stamps Store called "Christmas Joy."  This is a really cute set filled with wonderful sayings for the holiday.  I hope you check them out because they are wonderful!  They are perfect for cards!

This card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  The patterned paper came from a DCWV Christmas mat stack.  It was cut out at 4 x 5 1/4.  I love this paper!  The image was cut out at 3 1/4 inches.  For the holly leaves on the mantle, it cuts out these tiny little berries.  There was no way I was going to cut them out.  I used a glue pen and some extra fine glitter I found at Michaels.  The little stockings were cut using a mini Studio G punch.  I used a white gel pen on the top.  For the candles, I used a gold gel pen for the flame.  At the top I used a mini Studio G punch for the holly leaves and some more of the fine glitter for the berries.

Now it's your turn!  All you have to do is create a card, layout, or other craft project using die cuts from a manual machine or your Cricut.  Sounds fun right?  You have until Noon EST December 6th, 2012 to enter. Once you've completed your project, head on over to Mary's Blog and enter a link to your project into Mr. Linky.  She will be giving away a set of her awesome stamps.  I can't wait to see what you create!   I hope you stop by the blog's of my Design Team Sisters to see what awesome projects they have made.

I will be posting more cards I have been working on starting Sunday.  I just love making Christmas cards!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend.  Hope you come back real soon!

Lots of Hugs,

Popcorn Holders

Hello my crafty friends!  I hope you are enjoying your weekend and had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I know we here at the castle had a wonderful turkey day!  I have so much to be thankful for.  I had made these to give to family and friends and  forgot to post them.  This week has been so hectic.

The "Enjoy the crisp, cool days of Autumn!" stamp came from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Fall Fun."  The second one is a stamp that I've had for many years.  I used some Wilton doilies and inked them with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress ink.  The paper came from Joann's, and I used an EK Success flourish punch, and a leaf punch.   I can't wait to make these with Christmas patterned paper.  I will share those as well.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!  I am thankful you stopped by, and I would really love to hear from you.

Lots of Hugs,

Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge # 19 "Scene It!"

Happy Friday my crafty friends and welcome to the Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge #19, "Scene It!"  Mary gave our Design Team a really fun challenge, create a card, layout, or other craft project with a scene for Thanksgiving or Christmas.  I had recently purchased a few cartridges, and one of them was Elmo and Friends Holiday.  When I saw Cookie Monster on the cover, I just had to use him with the sentiment "Cookies for SANTA!"  The sentiment came from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Christmas Joy."  I love this set!  So many wonderful sayings.

I decided to make a tall card to make the scene I had in mind.  It measures 3 3/4 x 9 1/4.  The patterned paper is from Bo Bunny.  It was cut at 3 1/2 x 9 inches.  Cookie Monster came from the Elmo and Friends Holiday cartridge and was cut out at 3 inches.  The reindeer and the sign came from the Winter Frolic cartridge.  The reindeer was cut out at 2 1/4 inches.  The sign and arrow were cut at 6 inches.  I used an EK Success punch for the trees and used a white marker on them.

Now it's your turn!  I hope you join us for this really fun challenge!  All you have to do is create a card, layout, or other craft project with a scene for Thanksgiving or Christmas.  So I hope this weekend you make a project to enter into Mr. Linky on Mary's blog.  You have until noon EST November 22, 2012.  The winner will receive a set of Mary's awesome stamps!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I would really love to hear from you!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Fall Treat Holder

Hello my crafty friends!  I hope your Wednesday is going well.  I can't believe how fast this week is going!  A week from tomorrow is Thanksgiving!!!!  Wow!  A good friend of mine had recently gone to a craft boutique and found these cute little treat boxes.  She told me the lady she bought them from was making them in her booth.  She asked if she cut them out with her Cricut and she said no, that she cut them out by hand.  She watched her make one, then asked her if she would mind sharing the measurements.  She gave them to her and made one herself.  She then shared it with me.  So here is mine.  I used a stamp that I had purchased last year at Michaels with all of the leaves.  The Fall and Leaves sentiments are from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Fall Fun."

Inside of the box there are two Snickers bars.  I need to make a bunch more of these.  I have friends that want some done with Christmas paper.  I need to get started!  I will post pictures of the Christmas one's later.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would really love to hear from you!  Have a great day!

Harvest Blessings

Hello my crafty friends!  I hope your Monday is going well.  I recently purchased a Tim Holtz embossing folder and had to try it out.  I used Core'dinations paper and sanded it.  I used the Cardz TV Stamps  set "Thankful For You."

For the pumpkins, I used a small oval punch.  The paper I used came from a Bo Bunny 6 x 6 stack.  For the stem of the pumpkins I used an EK Success flourish punch.  The leaves were punched with an old punch.

As a reminder, don't forget the "I'm SoThankful" Cardz TV Stamps Challenge #18 is still going on.  You have until noon EST on Thursday.  Mary will be giving away a set of her awesome stamps to the winner!

I hope you have a wonderful day.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I would really love to hear from you.

"I'm So Thankful" Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge #18

Hello my crafty friends, and happy Friday!  Welcome to the "I'm So Thankful"  Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge #18!  Mary over at Cardz TV gave our Design Team a Challenge.  We were to create a card, layout, or other project for Thanksgiving.

For my card I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "Thankful For You."   This set has a lot of wonderful Fall and Thanksgiving sentiments.  The card base is 6 x 6.  The patterned paper is from a DCWV fall stack and was cut at 5 3/4 x 5 3/4.  I cut the cute little Indian bear and squirrel from the new Create A Critter 2 cartridge.  Love this cartridge!  They were cut out at 3 1/2 inches and for all of their layers.  The little acorn came from my stash so I'm not quite sure which cartridge.  I usually put the extras in snack bags and label them which cartridge they came from and what size they were cut out at, but shame on me, I didn't do it on that one.  Sorry.  I used a Fiskars grass edge punch for the grass, and a leaf punch that I've had for at least 11 years.

So now it's your turn!  All you have to do is make a card, layout, or other craft project for Thanksgiving.  Once you've completed it, head on over to cardztv.blogspot.com and enter a link to your project into Mr. Linky.  You have until noon EST November 8th.  I hope you stop by the rest of the team's blogs for more awesome inspiration.

I'm so thankful you stopped by today!  I hope to hear from you because I love all of your wonderful comments.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend.  I will be posting again soon so I hope you come back.

Lots of Hugs,
Laura
