"Sweets for the Sweet" Cardz TV 3-D Challenge

Happy Friday my crafty friends!  "Welcome to the "Sweets for the Sweet" Cardz TV 3-D Challenge!  I'm so excited to start up our Challenges again!  Our wonderful Mary gave our DT a challenge to make a candy wrapper or candy holder for Halloween treats.  All my friends know how much I LOVE to make treat holders.

The sentiment on the fry box came from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Trick or Treat."  For the fry box, I used the Stampin' Up! fry box die.  The sentiment on the hamburger box came from the "More Spooky Sayings" stamp set.  I used the hamburger die from Stampin' Up! for the box.  The sentiment on the milk carton came from the "October 31st" set.  For the milk carton, I had found this TUTORIAL.  I had to change the lid a little bit longer to fit the box with the soda can inside.  I changed the measurements to 3 1/2 x 10 1/2.  The score marks along the 10 1/2 side are the same,
2 1/2, 5, 7 1/2, and 10.  The scorelines along the 3 1/2 side are the ones I changed.  They are 3,
4 1/4.  The papers are from Doodlebug.  The little mini clothespins are from Recollections.  The spider is from my local grocery store.

Now it's your turn to take the challenge!  Just make a candy wrapper or a candy holder for Halloween treats.  Easy peasy!  Just head on over to Mary's Blog and add your project.  You have until noon EST Thursday October 16th to enter.  Mary will be giving away a set of her amazing stamps to the winner.

In case you've been wondering where I have been, life has been upended recently.  My dad has cancer that has gotten much much worse.  So needless to say life has been hectic.  Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by, and I would really love to hear from you!  I hope you take the challenge.  Don't forget to stop by the other ladies' blogs on the DT for more inspiration, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Lots of Hugs,
Laura
