Jungle Birthday Card For Cricut Cardz Challenge

This is a card I created for the Cricut Cardz Challenge.  This is a stair-step card.   The challenge this week was for a birthday card with the theme of "It's A Jungle Out There."  The animals, grass, and the "Go Wild" phrase are from the Create A Critter cartridge.   I cut the party hats from the Celebrations cartridge.  I put the monkeys swinging from a piece of braiding cord.  I had a lot of fun!  Thanks for stopping by!

I know at this time of year it's really hot.  The leaves on trees are still green outside, but I thought I would post a fall card.  Thanks for looking!

Halloween Cards

My sister-in-law and I were talking yesterday about how we needed to start our Halloween cards, so I thought I would post a couple of pictures of Halloween cards.  This is a stair-step card.  The papers are from a Martha Stewart mat stack I bought from Michaels last year, the witch, pumpkin, ghost, and the cat are foam stickers, and the pumpkin stickers on the bottom are puffy stickers.  The stamps are from the dollar bins at Michaels. (last years)  Thanks for stopping by!

School Birdhouse

I was going through some pictures and I found these of a birdhouse I made for my daughter's teacher when she graduated from Pre-School.  Keep in mind she is going into the 3rd grade tomorrow, I just thought I would share something I had made as a Thank You for an awesome teacher.  Thanks for stopping by!

Back-To-School Card

My daughter starts school on Tuesday August 23rd.  This summer has just flown by.  I can't believe it!  So, I thought I would make a card for her to give to her new teacher.  The apple is from the Doodlecharms cartridge and cut at 2 3/4 for all layers.  The worm is from Create A Critter cartridge and is cut at 1 1/2 for all layers. The ABC letters actually were cut from the Cuttlekids machine.  I found it in the closet and decided to use it since I haven't used it in a LONG time.  The measuring tape ribbon came from JoAnn's.  Thanks for stopping by!

Dimensions for Mary's card

Thank you so much for all of your wonderful comments!  It means a lot.   I have had a lot of requests for a tutorial for Mary's card.  I am currently working on that.  I will let you know that you need (4)  10 1/2 inch circles cut from George and Basic Shapes, or using a Colluzle, or whatever tool you have that will cut circles. You will need to fold them in half, unfold them, fold them in half again.  You will have 4 sections.  I hopefully will have the video up in the next day or two so you can see how to do the next step.  Thanks for your patience.

Sections of Mary's card

Each of these sections are glued together to make one card except for the left side of the one with stawberries, and the right one of the one with the petunias.  I adhered ribbon to tie them together when opened.

A card for Mary at Cardz TV

This is a card I made for my friend Mary at Cardz TV.  I made this card using the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge for the strawberries.  They were cut at 1 in., 1 1/2 in., and 1 3/4.  The cherries are from the Lyrical Letters cartridge and cut at 1 1/2 in.  The TV is from the Mickey & Friends cartridge and was cut at 3 1/4 in.  The popsicle is cut from the Doodlecharms cartridge and cut at 3 in.  The petunias are from the Freshly Picked cartridge and cut at 3 1/2 in.  The paper with the strawberries and cherries, the green polka dot paper, and the striped pink paper are all from a Recollections pack from Michaels.  The paper with the squares is from DCWV.  If you have any questions please leave me a comment and I will get back to you.  Thanks for looking.

Treasure Chest Birthday Card

I made this card for my sister-in-law's birthday.  She love's anything with the pirate theme.  This card was cut using the Life's A Party cartridge.  I cut it out larger than usual.  It was cut at 7 1/2 for all layers.  I used different jewels for the treasure inside.  The balloons were cut from the Create A Critter cartridge at 2 1/2 inches.  The greeting was printed out on the computer.  Thanks for looking.

Acrylic Stamp Storage

My wonderful sister-in-law gave me a wonderful tip on how to store all of those wonderful $1.00 stamps that we seem to accumulate.  She told me that you could take them out of the little plastic sleeve they come in, and place them in the Trading Card sheets that hold 9 cards per side.  You can organize them by categories like Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Easter, Birthdays, Sentiments etc.  Then you can go to the category you need instead of digging through bins to find the one you need.  I think this a wonderful idea!  I bought some of those sheet protectors and I am going to get started organizing the MANY MANY MANY bins of those wonderful $1.00 stamps.  Hope you find this helpful.

Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card I created for a friend's birthday.  It's an accordion style card.  The cardstock is from a Recollections pack from Michaels.  The patterned paper came in a cute new paper pack from Recollections as well.  The strawberries were cut from the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge at 1 1/4, 1 1/2, 1 3/4.  The sentiment on the front was printed on the computer.  I used a McGill punch for the sentiment.  The ribbon was purchased at Michaels.  I used a rubber stamp for the sentiment in the middle, as well as on the last page.  Thanks for looking.

School is quickly approaching so I thought I would change the look of the blog. Hope you like it.  My daughter received her letter from school informing us of when school is starting and which teacher she will have.  She is soooo excited to start again!  Time for new clothes and school supplies.  Look out checkbook!
