Welcome back to day 2 of the Cardz TV Design Team Challenge #15 "Bling It Up!" I hope you've had a chance to check out the other talented ladies on the Design Team. For my second project, my Mom had asked me to make a card for a co-worker who sadly has breast cancer. Next month she is going to have a Mastectomy, possibly double. I pray she doesn't have to.
This card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. For the sentiment, I used the Cardz TV Stamps "Encouraging Thoughts." The pink ribbon bling came from Michaels. They had a small section with breast cancer awareness items. The other bling came from Recollections. The patterned paper is from a Recollections stack. The corner punch is from EK Success, and for the border I used a Stampin' Up! border punch. For the ivory sentiment tag, I used a McGill punch, and for the black tag I used a EK Success punch.
I hope you've had a chance to start a card, layout or other craft project to enter the Challenge! Remember, you have until Midnight Thursday, September 27th to enter a picture and a link to your blog. Mary is giving away a set of Cardz TV Stamps to the winner!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I really hope to hear from you! Have an awesome weekend!
Lots of Hugs,
Laura

Oh my gosh Laura!! This is most beautiful!!! I so love it!!!! Awesomeness for sure!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis card is just beautiful Laura! I love the pink bling ribbon and had no idea that Micheals had an area for breast cancer items. I will keep this person in my prayers. I have a friend in CA who had to have a double mastectomy too and she had one implant done after a year long treatment. Sadly now she has to have it remove because if an infection. So both of these ladies will be in my prayers!!
ReplyDeleteSo very elegant and classy. :0) XOXO, Julie. :0)
