"Father's Day" Cardz TV Design Team Challenge

Happy Friday my crafty friends!  Today starts another challenge over at Cardz TV.  Mary gave us a challenge to create a card, layout, or other project for Father's Day.  I used the Cardz TV Stamps "Father's Day" stamp set.

You know me, I love to make treat holders.  I used a sheet of DCWV patterned paper that was cut at
8 1/2 x 8 1/2.  I folded it in half tip to tip.  Then with the opening on top, you fold down one tip and crease to where you want it.  Then flip it back up.  Then take one of the side points and fold over to be flush to the crease line.  Repeat on the other side.  Then you fold down the flap again to cover the folded over sides. Then I rounded the pouch out with my fingers by pulling and rounding as you go.  On the bottom I pushed it up with my finger along the bottom.  Then it should be able to stand up on it's own.  I then measured the top flap.  I cut the brown piece in a 4 x 4 square and then cut it in half.  The white cardstock was cut at 3 x 3 inches and cut in half.  I used a 3 inch scallop punch for the patterned paper.  The green patterned paper was punched using a 2 1/2 circle punch.  The brown scallop was punched using a 2 inch punch.  The white circle with the sentiment was punched using a 1 3/4 punch.  I added buttons from my stash.  And of course, added Rolos and almond Hershey Kisses.

Now it's your turn to create a card, layout, or other craft project for Father's Day.  You have until June 13th, 2013 to enter.  Once you've finished, head on over to Cardz TV and enter your project.  Mary will use random.org to pick the winner.  She will  be giving away a set of her fabulous stamps.  I can't wait to see what you create!

Also, SCOOTINGRANNY please e-mail (queenpunki at aol dot com) me your address so I can send you your blog candy that you won.  If I don't hear from you by Monday I will be choosing another winner.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I would really love to hear from you!  Have a great weekend!

Lots of Hugs,
Laura

  9. Great treat holder Laura. And the best thing is with a change of paper and sentiment you can use the idea over and over again! I love the paper you chose for this project.

  10. I think you have to change your name to include the Queen of treat holders, my friend, because yours are the best and very royal looking :) This is absolutely adorable. I love the colours you used - very masculine for Dad. The fold is also great - I'm going to try to follow your directions and make one for my hubby. Thank you for the instructions and the inspiration.
    Big hugs,
    Lena
