Screen Card
Hello my crafty friends! I hope you are staying cool. Here around the castle it is waaay too hot! I remember my grandmother had a dressing screen. When a friend showed me this card, I knew I had to make one. (RECIPE BELOW) I made this for my mom and her favorite color is purple. I used a Martha Stewart punch on the top, and punch that I've had for a long time on the bottom. If you have the SU! curly label punch this will work as well. I used it on the bottom to create the legs of each panel. The paper is from the Journeys stack from Kathy Davis. I recently picked it up at Joann's for 60% off. Love those kinds of deals. I used a dragonfly punch and a flourish punch by EK Success. The bling is from my stash. For the sentiments I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "Heart to Heart."
To make this card, take a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 colored cardstock. With the 11 inch side at the top of your scoring board score at: 2 3/4, 5 1/2, 8 1/4. Fold in half then fold (mountain) and the panels in(valley.) I cut it down to about
6 x 11 inches after I used the Martha Stewart border punch. Depending on how big of a border punch you use, you can adjust how long you want it to be. So what do you think???? I love how it turned out and more importantly so did my mother. I love to give her cards to let her know how much I love her.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I would really love to hear from you! Have a great day!
Lots of Hugs,
Laura
