Teacher Retirement Gift
I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! It poured rain here for the weekend and got cold enough to turn on the furnace! It snowed on the mountain peaks! Anyway, my daughter had her last day in 3rd grade on Friday. Her teacher was retiring from teaching, so I decided to make her a mini-album. I made this little video to show you how it turned out. I used the Cardz TV Stamp set "School Days." I just love this set! The papers came from a cute Recollections paper pack from Michaels. The apple is from the Doodlecharms cartridge. The apple was cut out at 3 1/2 inches and for all of it's parts. I put an Action Wobble on the back of it. I used EK Success punches for the sentiment mats and the corners on the front. I bought the sticker's at Michaels. The ribbon came from my ever growing stash.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I would really love to hear from you.

"Say I Do!" Cardz TV Design Team Challenge #9 Day 2
Welcome to day two of the "Say I Do!" Cardz TV Design Team Challenge #9. If you haven't seen my day one post, please scroll down to see the card I made. This is a gift card holder I made out of a
4 1/4 x 5 1/2 envelope. For the sentiments I used two different stamp sets. The verse on the outside came from the Cardz TV Stamp set "Greater Love." The Happy Wedding Day! came from the "Happy Days" set. Love them!
I bought the envelopes from a local craft store called Bennion Crafts. I love this store! I am in there a LOT!
I found the patterned paper there as well and it matches the card that I made for day one of the Challenge. It is double sided so I used the other side for the inside of it. For the sentiment mat on the front of it, I used the Nestabilities set Labels Four. The ring is a sticker I found at Michaels. The doves were punched using a Martha Stewart punch. For the inside sentiment I used two different Stampin' Up! circle punches and the scalloped circle punch from Stampin' Up! The ribbon was in my stash and I had found it at Joann's.
I hope you have stopped by the other ladies on the Design Team to see what wonderful projects they have created. Also, Mary over at Cardz TV is giving away a set of Cardz TV Stamps, WINNER'S CHOICE. To be entered for your chance to win, all you have to do is create a card, layout or other project for an engagement, wedding shower, or wedding. Then add it into Mr. Linky on her blog. You have until Midnight EST, Sunday May 27, 2012. She will be using random.org and announcing the winner on Monday May 28th. I can't wait to see what you create.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I would really love to hear from you. Hope you all are having a safe and wonderful Memorial Day weekend.
Lots of Hugs,

"Say I Do" Cardz TV Design Team Challenge 9
Welcome to the "Say I Do" Cardz TV Design Team Challenge! Mary over at Cardz TV gave us a challenge to create a card or other project for a wedding or engagement. The sentiment came from the Cardz TV Stamp set "Greater Love." The font used on this set is gorgeous.
This card is an altered Gate Fold card. I found some beautiful double sided patterned paper at Bennion Crafts. You can see part of the other side on the outer corners. For the wedding cake and the cake stand, I used the Sweet Treats cartridge. I cut out the cake at 2 3/4 inches using the blackout feature. I cut it out 3 times and glued them together so it will be sturdy. I ran the top layer through the Cuttlebug using the Swirls folder. For the cake holder I cut it out at 1 1/2 inches and on shift. The flowers came from Michaels as well as all of the flat back pearls. For the flourishes I used an EK Success punch. The little flowers that are on the bottom of the cake came from Michaels, and I found them in the wedding aisle.
I hope you like this card. I really like how it turned out. Don't forget to stop by the other ladies on our Design Team and see what wonderful creations they have created for this Challenge. Mary over at Cardz TV is giving away a set of Cardz TV Stamps winner's choice! All you have to do is create a card or project and enter it into Mr. Linky on her blog. Easy peasy right? You have until Midnight EST Sunday May 27. She will announce the winner on Monday May 28.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I would really love to hear from you. I hope you stop back on Saturday because I will have another project.

Birthday Card
This is a card I created for my daughter's friend. She just turned 8. On the sentiment it looks like 81 but it says 8 with an exclamation point. I printed it out on the computer. This is a variation of a Gate Fold card. The idea came from Stampin Up!. I used the Labels Four Nestabilities set for the sentiment mats. The cute little embellishments and patterned paper came from Bennion Crafts. They had cute sets that were on sale for .50! There are about 8 of these in the set with foam tape on the back. The Happy Birthday! sentiment came from the Cardz TV Stamp set "Make A Wish."
I hope you all are enjoying your weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by and I would really love to hear from you!

Little Mother's Day Gifts
Hello my friends! Hope all of you who are Mom's had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday, or had a wonderful day with your Mom. Here a some little gifts I gave to some very special ladies in my life in addition to other presents. I didn't want to post these until I had given them out. I found these cute little Mary Englebreit tins at Target for only $1.00 each. I took patterned paper and wrapped Hershey Nuggets. I made little Post-It Note holders as well. I put removable Dotto adhesive to close them. The sentiment came from the Cardz TV Stamp "Mother's Day." The little leaves were punched using a McGill punch. I put patterned paper inside of these pens. Needless to say, I went out to Target and bought more of these cute little tins.
Well I hope you are all having a beautiful day in the neck of your woods. It's gorgeous here in Utah today. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to hear from you!

Mother's Day Card
Hello my friends! Here is a Mother's Day card I made for a wonderful friend of mine. This is a Gate Fold card. I just love this paper. I bought it at a local craft store called Bennion Crafts. I just love this store! The only bad thing is that it's so close!
I used an EK Success border punch to make it look like a trellis. The little roses are from Recollections. I used a punch for the vine. I cut the sentiment mats using Nestabilities dies except for the "I'd Pick You." I used the SU! Word Window punch and the Modern Label punch. The sentiments on the front came from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Think Spring." On the inside I used my favorite EK Success corner punch. The Happy Mother's Day was stamped using a stamp that I've had for a few years.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I would really love to hear from you. Hope you all are having a beautiful day.

I found some wonderful paper at Michaels the other day in the $1.50 bins. Blue is my favorite color so I had to have this little package of paper. It has 2 sheets of each paper, 12 in all. For the sentiments, I used the Cardz TV Stamp set "Mother's Day." It has so many wonderful sentiments.
The blue paper is Bazzill and was cut at 4 x 12 and scored at 4, 8 inches. The pretty blue patterned papers were cut at 3 3/4 x 3 3/4. I used my favorite corner punch from EK Success. For the sentiment mats I used EK Success and McGill punches. I used some Recollections flat back pearls.

"Mom's the Word" Cardz TV Blog Hop
Welcome to the "Mom's the Word" Cardz TV Blog Hop! I'm so glad you stopped by. If you came from Karen's Blog you are headed in the right direction. The theme for this Blog Hop is to create a card or other project for Mother's Day. For my project I made a Card Box. For the two sentiments I used the Cardz TV Stamp set "Mother's Day."
I bought the paper at Bennion Crafts here in Utah. It's from Echo Park. For the flourishes on the sides, I used an EK Success punch. For the side borders I used a Martha Stewart border punch. The flower on the inside came from a K & Company pack. It's 3D with foam tape on the back. For the scalloped circle frames, I used a Nestabilities die. I ran the bellyband through my Fiskars crimper. I stapled the bellyband with my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher. I love that tool!
Speaking of the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, I am giving one away as my blog candy! All you have to do to be entered is be a follower of the Queens Card Castle and leave me a comment. Easy peasy! I would really love to hear from you. The winner will be announced on Monday, May 7th.
