Unto Us A Child Is Born
I just wanted to take this opportunity to say, from my castle to yours, I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas. May you be safe, healthy, and with those you love. To quote Tiny Tim, "God Bless us Everyone!"
Do Not Open Until Christmas
Hello my crafty friends! Are you ready for tomorrow? I can't believe how they time has flown! I think I'm ready. So much running around shopping, wrapping, cleaning for our family party. I have a niece who is due in February. She was in the hospital Saturday and thought the baby would be coming. Thankfully little Bella didn't arrive yet. She is bound and determined to come early.
Anyway, on to the card. This is a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base. The stamp is from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Christmas Joy." The paper came from a Recollections paper pack. I used Elegant Edges for the mats and ran it through the Cuttlebug. It was cut out at 3 3/4 inches. Elmo came from the Elmo and Friends Holiday cartridge. He was cut at 3 /12 inches. I used my favorite EK Success corner punch.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you are getting everything done that you need to. Let us not forget the reason for the season. And please say an extra prayer for the families of the children in Connecticut. My heart aches for them.
Lots of Hugs,
Laura

Christmas Popcorn Holders
Hello my crafty friends! It seems like only a little while ago we were celebrating Thanksgiving. Now Christmas is rapidly approaching! Every year my Aunt asks me to make something she can give to her friends she worked with before she retired. They go to lunch and give each other little gifts. I had made some of these popcorn holders at Thanksgiving, so she asked me to make some with Christmas paper. I said sure! I had to make 14 of them. I didn't want to embellish them too much because I'm sure they will get thrown away. I didn't take pictures of all of them but here are some of them.
I used papers from different Studio G paper packs. The elves and glittered trees came from Michaels. The sentiments came from four different Cardz TV Stamps sets. I'm so glad they come together so quickly! I have more treats I have to put together. It's crunch time!!!!
I'm really glad you stopped by today and I hope you are having a good day. I hope to hear from you!
Lots of Hugs,

Cardz TV Challenge #21 "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas!"
Happy Friday my crafty friends! I'm so glad you stopped by because today starts another Cardz TV Design Team Challenge. Mary over at Cardz TV gave our Design Team a challenge to create a card, layout,or other craft project for Christmas with snow, snowflakes, or a snowman.
I used the Cardz TV Stamp set "Snow Day." This is a fun set to use with snowmen. I was in Michaels and they had these cute treat boxes. I just had to have them! I love to make treat holders but I thought these were cute. The one with the large snowflake came with the cellophane bags. For the red one, I used a small ziplock type bag. Inside the red one are Hershey Almond Kisses, and the blue one's are Cookies and Cream Hershey Kisses. Yummy! Super simple and super fast. That's the way I like it this time of year. I have orders for some of the treat holders I have recently made that I need to finish, not to mention finish shopping, and wrapping the presents.
Now it's your turn! All you have to do is create a card, layout, or other craft project with snow, snowflakes, or a snowman. Once you've finished, head on over to Mary's Blog and enter your project into Mr. Linky. She will be giving away a set of Cardz TV stamps. The challenge runs from Friday, December 14th through Noon Thursday, December 20th.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to hear from you. Also, please stop by the other Designer's blogs. They have created some awesome projects. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Cookie Treat Holder
Hello my crafty friends! Here's a quick little treat holder I had made. The paper is from Bo Bunny. The paper is two sided with red and white stripes on the inside. I had to play with the measurements a little bit. I used a Spellbinder's Nestability ornament to cut the shape. On the inside, there is a small ziplock type bag with Mother's animal cookies.
For the sentiment, I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "Tiny Tidings." This is a fun set because they are smaller to fit inside small punched tags. I used Stampin' Up! punches. I added a small piece of Velcro under the top flap for closure. And I added some ribbon from y scraps. These are really quick and simple to make. You could really mass produce these for little gifts for friends.
I hope you are having a good week so far. I know I have been extremely busy! My daughter is in a basketball tournament that starts tonight. It's been run here run there, buy this, wrap that. Whew! Thanks so much for stopping by and I would really love to hear from you.
Lots of Hugs,
Laura

O Holy Night
Hello my crafty friends! I hope your Monday is going well. I just wanted to share a card I made last week. It is a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card. I had purchased the December 25th cartridge a few weeks ago and really wanted to cut this image. I cut it out at 3 1/4 inches for both layers. The sentiment is from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Classic Christmas." The mat behind it I cut out from Elegant Edges and cut at 3 1/2 inches for both the mat and the shadow. For the mat behind those, I used the Kassie's Brocade Cuttlebug folder. I used some Recollections fine glitter on the star. The flat back pearls came from Recollections
.
I hope you've had a chance to enter into the "To Die For!" Challenge over at Cardz TV. Have a great day and I would really love to hear from you!

Gingerbread Men Card
Hello my crafty friends! I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. Here around my castle, the wind is really blowing. I hope you've had a chance to enter the Cardz TV Stamps Challenge "To Die For!"
For today's card, I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "Tiny Tidings." This is a cute set that Mary has that has sentiments from a set she had last year but they are smaller, and there are a couple of new ones added in. The card base came from a boxed card set I found at Bennion Crafts (a local store) that comes pre-folded. The are made by Pebbles. There are 10 different card bases and envelopes. They have really cute patterns and have the envelopes included. For the red mat, I used the EK Success punch Scalloped Scallop. For the patterned paper I used a Recollections 6 x 6 mat stack that has some adorable papers in it. It is called Sugar Plums. I used a 1 1/4 inch EK Success square scallop punch. The other day I was at Joann's and found this cute Fiskars gingerbread punch. I debated on getting it since I have several cartridges with gingerbread man cuts, but I knew if I didn't get it then it would be gone later. I used a Peachy Keen stamp set for their faces, and some bling from my stash.
I hope you enter our Challenge! You have until Noon EST Thursday December 6th. Mary will be giving away a set of her stamps to the winner! I will be posting again tomorrow so I hope you stop back to check it out.

"To Die For!" Cardz TV Stamps Challenge #20
Happy Friday my crafty friends and welcome to the "To Die For!" Cardz TV Stamps Challenge #20! Our wonderful Mary over at cardztv.blogspot.com gave us a challenge to create a card, layout, or other craft project using die cuts from a manual machine or our Cricut. I recently had purchased the A Quilted Christmas cartridge and had to try it out. I found this cute image on there and knew Mary's stamps would be perfect for it. Mary has a new set of Christmas stamps in the Cardz TV Stamps Store called "Christmas Joy." This is a really cute set filled with wonderful sayings for the holiday. I hope you check them out because they are wonderful! They are perfect for cards!
This card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. The patterned paper came from a DCWV Christmas mat stack. It was cut out at 4 x 5 1/4. I love this paper! The image was cut out at 3 1/4 inches. For the holly leaves on the mantle, it cuts out these tiny little berries. There was no way I was going to cut them out. I used a glue pen and some extra fine glitter I found at Michaels. The little stockings were cut using a mini Studio G punch. I used a white gel pen on the top. For the candles, I used a gold gel pen for the flame. At the top I used a mini Studio G punch for the holly leaves and some more of the fine glitter for the berries.
Now it's your turn! All you have to do is create a card, layout, or other craft project using die cuts from a manual machine or your Cricut. Sounds fun right? You have until Noon EST December 6th, 2012 to enter. Once you've completed your project, head on over to Mary's Blog and enter a link to your project into Mr. Linky. She will be giving away a set of her awesome stamps. I can't wait to see what you create! I hope you stop by the blog's of my Design Team Sisters to see what awesome projects they have made.
I will be posting more cards I have been working on starting Sunday. I just love making Christmas cards! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Hope you come back real soon!

Popcorn Holders
Hello my crafty friends! I hope you are enjoying your weekend and had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know we here at the castle had a wonderful turkey day! I have so much to be thankful for. I had made these to give to family and friends and forgot to post them. This week has been so hectic.
The "Enjoy the crisp, cool days of Autumn!" stamp came from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Fall Fun." The second one is a stamp that I've had for many years. I used some Wilton doilies and inked them with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress ink. The paper came from Joann's, and I used an EK Success flourish punch, and a leaf punch. I can't wait to make these with Christmas patterned paper. I will share those as well.
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! I am thankful you stopped by, and I would really love to hear from you.

Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge # 19 "Scene It!"
Happy Friday my crafty friends and welcome to the Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge #19, "Scene It!" Mary gave our Design Team a really fun challenge, create a card, layout, or other craft project with a scene for Thanksgiving or Christmas. I had recently purchased a few cartridges, and one of them was Elmo and Friends Holiday. When I saw Cookie Monster on the cover, I just had to use him with the sentiment "Cookies for SANTA!" The sentiment came from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Christmas Joy." I love this set! So many wonderful sayings.
I decided to make a tall card to make the scene I had in mind. It measures 3 3/4 x 9 1/4. The patterned paper is from Bo Bunny. It was cut at 3 1/2 x 9 inches. Cookie Monster came from the Elmo and Friends Holiday cartridge and was cut out at 3 inches. The reindeer and the sign came from the Winter Frolic cartridge. The reindeer was cut out at 2 1/4 inches. The sign and arrow were cut at 6 inches. I used an EK Success punch for the trees and used a white marker on them.
Now it's your turn! I hope you join us for this really fun challenge! All you have to do is create a card, layout, or other craft project with a scene for Thanksgiving or Christmas. So I hope this weekend you make a project to enter into Mr. Linky on Mary's blog. You have until noon EST November 22, 2012. The winner will receive a set of Mary's awesome stamps!

Fall Treat Holder
Hello my crafty friends! I hope your Wednesday is going well. I can't believe how fast this week is going! A week from tomorrow is Thanksgiving!!!! Wow! A good friend of mine had recently gone to a craft boutique and found these cute little treat boxes. She told me the lady she bought them from was making them in her booth. She asked if she cut them out with her Cricut and she said no, that she cut them out by hand. She watched her make one, then asked her if she would mind sharing the measurements. She gave them to her and made one herself. She then shared it with me. So here is mine. I used a stamp that I had purchased last year at Michaels with all of the leaves. The Fall and Leaves sentiments are from the Cardz TV Stamps set "Fall Fun."
Inside of the box there are two Snickers bars. I need to make a bunch more of these. I have friends that want some done with Christmas paper. I need to get started! I will post pictures of the Christmas one's later. Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would really love to hear from you! Have a great day!

Harvest Blessings
Hello my crafty friends! I hope your Monday is going well. I recently purchased a Tim Holtz embossing folder and had to try it out. I used Core'dinations paper and sanded it. I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "Thankful For You."
For the pumpkins, I used a small oval punch. The paper I used came from a Bo Bunny 6 x 6 stack. For the stem of the pumpkins I used an EK Success flourish punch. The leaves were punched with an old punch.
As a reminder, don't forget the "I'm SoThankful" Cardz TV Stamps Challenge #18 is still going on. You have until noon EST on Thursday. Mary will be giving away a set of her awesome stamps to the winner!
I hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks so much for stopping by and I would really love to hear from you.

"I'm So Thankful" Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge #18
Hello my crafty friends, and happy Friday! Welcome to the "I'm So Thankful" Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge #18! Mary over at Cardz TV gave our Design Team a Challenge. We were to create a card, layout, or other project for Thanksgiving.
For my card I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "Thankful For You." This set has a lot of wonderful Fall and Thanksgiving sentiments. The card base is 6 x 6. The patterned paper is from a DCWV fall stack and was cut at 5 3/4 x 5 3/4. I cut the cute little Indian bear and squirrel from the new Create A Critter 2 cartridge. Love this cartridge! They were cut out at 3 1/2 inches and for all of their layers. The little acorn came from my stash so I'm not quite sure which cartridge. I usually put the extras in snack bags and label them which cartridge they came from and what size they were cut out at, but shame on me, I didn't do it on that one. Sorry. I used a Fiskars grass edge punch for the grass, and a leaf punch that I've had for at least 11 years.
So now it's your turn! All you have to do is make a card, layout, or other craft project for Thanksgiving. Once you've completed it, head on over to cardztv.blogspot.com and enter a link to your project into Mr. Linky. You have until noon EST November 8th. I hope you stop by the rest of the team's blogs for more awesome inspiration.
I'm so thankful you stopped by today! I hope to hear from you because I love all of your wonderful comments. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I will be posting again soon so I hope you come back.

Air Head Treat Holder
Hello my crafty friends! If any of you are on the East Coast, you all are in my prayers. Please stay safe! I wish Sandy would just head back out to sea!
I have another treat holder to share with you today. I just love making treat holders. My daughter likes Air Heads. I had to fiddle with the measurements a couple of times, but I finally found this one works. I've been trying to use up the embellishments I bought this year from K & Co. The "Creepy!" sentiment came from the Cardz TV stamp set "More Spooky Sayings." I used a Stampin' Up! border punch on the top, and two smaller SU! punches for the sentiments. I know the white one is the Word Window punch. The paper came from a K & Co. paper stack.
I hope you all have a great day, and once again I'm praying for you all that live on the East Coast. Thanks so much for stopping by! I would really love to hear from you!

Pirate Trick-or-Treater
Hello my craft friends! I hope you all are having a great day so far. I woke up at 5:00 a.m. this morning to snow on the ground! Unbelievable! By next Tuesday, it is supposed to get up to 68! Anyway, with Halloween less than a week away, I wanted to share another card with you all. I just love the new Teddy Bear Parade cartridge! I've cut several of them out but haven't put them all on cards yet. I had cut out this little guy and knew what I wanted to do with him. I wanted to make him a little trick-or-treater with his little pumpkin. I cut him out at 3 1/4 inches as well as all of his layers. He has little foam squares on the back of him. The pumpkin actually belongs to the little bear dressed as a pumpkin. I cut it out at 3/4 inches. The paper for the larger mat was from a K & Co. stack. The smaller mat came from a small Recollections Halloween stack. The little candy stickers came from my stash.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope to hear from you because you know I love your comments!

Free Broom Rides
Hello my crafty friends! I know I've been sharing lots of treat holders lately so I thought I would throw in a card. I've been having soooo much fun with Mary's Stamps! For the sentiments, I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "October 31st."
I used the D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder for the top piece. The witch came from a K & Co. sticker pack that has foam tape already on the back. I've had the candy corn shaped brads in my stash for a long time but have never used them. LOL There is foam tape under the black cardstock to create a stopper for the purple. The orange sentiment mat was cut using some Graphic 45 paper. I used a glitter gel pen for the stitching. I used a Stampin' Up! border punch on the top of the black cardstock.
Just a reminder, the Cardz TV Stamp Design Team Challenge "Fall-o-ween" is going on through noon tomorrow October 25th. Mary will be announcing a winner on Friday, October 26th.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I would really love to hear from you!

Got Candy?
Hello my crafty friends! It's a very wet and cold day here in Utah. There is snow in the mountains! On a day like today, I definitely want to stay in and craft! The "Fall-o-ween" Challenge is still going on over at Cardz TV. I hope you've had a chance to enter.
For my next project, I decided to make these cute little matchbook treat holders. For the ghost treat holder, I used the Cardz TV Stamp set "More Spooky Sayings." For the treat holder on the left, I used Graphic 45 paper. For the one on the right I used paper from a K & Co. stack. The ghost and the pumpkin treat bowl are from two different K & Co. embellishment packs. You pull the candy above the bowl up to show the Trick Or Treat. It came with 3 other ones that have something to pull on. I found them at Michaels on clearance. I used a Studio G mini punch for the spiders.
Well, that's it for today. I hope you are having better weather where you are. Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by! I will be posting again soon so please check back.
Lots of Hugs,

Trick-or Treat Holders
Hello my crafty friends! Here are some more fun Halloween treat holders. These are little boxes I made, and inside it holds a fun size Kit Kat or a Hershey bar. For the sentiments, I used the Cardz TV Stamp set October 31st, and the More Spooky Sayings set. I've just been having so much fun with these sets!
For the papers, I used a K & Co. stack, and a Recollections mat stack. I really love these paper stacks. They have lots of fun designs. The embellishments came from a K & Co. pack that I found at Bennion Crafts. I used two different Stampin' Up! punches for the sentiment mats. I popped them on mini foam squares so it would hold the flap.
I hope you've had a chance to join us in our challenge. It is still going on. You have until noon EST Thursday, October 25th to enter. Mary over at Cardz TV will announce the winner this Friday.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope to hear from you. If you are new to my blog, I hope you become a follower. I will be posting more projects. Have a wonderful day!

Cardz TV Stamps Design Team "Fall-o-ween" Challenge Day 3
Welcome to day 3 of the Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge! I've been having so much fun with this Challenge! For these little treat holders, I used the Cardz TV Stamps set "October 31st", and "More Spooky Sayings." Both of these are really fun sets with lots of great sentiments for Halloween.
The paper with the little ghosts, and the little monsters came from Recollections. The one with the dots on one side and the spider webs on the inside is from K & Co. I used a Studio G mini punch for the little spiders. I used an EK Success corner punch for the corners on the top one. And of course I tucked in a little pack of Smarties. When Halloween time comes, I LOVE to make little candy favors! And these awesome little stamp sets make it so easy.
I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. I will be posting another fun project on Monday so I hope you stop by again. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to hear from you!
Lots of Hugs,
Laura
